Good morning, my dear Hivers! Last night, one of my college buddy from Manila came to Cebu to accompany her younger sister's college enrollment. Its the first time I've seen her since 2022,so despite my busy schedule, I make sure to make time to visit her.
We had dinner Re-q Japanese restaurant. We ordered ramen, udon and Maki rolls. One of my friends tried their curry chicken and it did not disappoint!
Going back to my friend, the whole time we were reminiscing our shared memories not just in college but also in our first job together at the audit firm. From grades in school, our conversations now revolve around jobs and salaries. And that when I realized that I'm now a full pledged adult. Is it just me or sometimes we forget that we are now at our mid 20s and college was already more than 5 years ago? Yet we cling on those shared memories like it just happened yesterday.
After dinner, one of my friends has to work since she's working on a graveyard shift so we looked for a coffee shop where we could chat while she works on her laptop at the same time. We went to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf to order some refreshments.
Although all of us are accountants, we are now in different paths. One is working as an internal control analyst, another as an accountant for consolidation of financial statement in an international company, one remained in the audit firm as a senior assurance associate, and another working in a multinational company in Manila.
Life is truly unpredictable. These are one of the moments where I feel like I'm on a novel and we are now moving to the next chapter. What will happen next? We will never know.
My dear Hivers, I hope you keep on thriving and pursuing the good life you deserve.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
