Happy Saturday, my dear Hivers! My Saturday routine usually involves yoga in the afternoon with my officemates. It's always what I look forward to every week. When it comes to my journey in yoga, our company Namaste yoga club certainly shaped my practice, encouraging me to continue no matter the circumstance.
"You don't choose what life throws at you, you just learn to make do of what's given.", our yoga teacher said earlier after seeing her students with an equal mix of beginners and intermediate. This applies not only in yoga classes but in life, generally. Teacher Blanne is a typhoon survivor. She lives near the mountainous part of Cebu where most houses were damaged. And maybe that's where that quote comes from. I truly admire her strength.
Initially, we were scheduled to have a wheel yoga class but due to uncertain events, the teacher specialized on wheels didn't make it on time so Teacher Blane substituted.
Since many of us were already anticipating for the wheel class, our yoga club leader decided to move the class to next Friday instead of cancelling it altogether.
On my yoga journey
To be honest, I haven't been consistent ever since I started a few months ago. Admittedly, I haven't truly committed to the practice. Though I have some far-sight goals in mind, which is to fully learn head stand and hand stand, much improvement is still needed.
But one thing I'm always certain is that I always feel good during and after the practice. There's something about the poses that when done perfectly (or sometimes imperfectly) gives me power and strength. It makes me feel like I could conquer my day/ week ahead. When I have a lot going on in my mind, yoga keeps me level headed.
This Saturday's yoga session may not be what we expected, but it allowed me to realize all these good thoughts.
I hope you had a great Saturday too, my dear Hivers!
Namaste
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
