Happy Sunday, dear Hivers! Today is not a typical Sunday for me as I went out the whole day to catch some errands. My day started at 9am for my hair appointment. Starting this year, I try to visit the salon at least 4 times a year for a hair treatment because I noticed my hair is a bit dull and frizzy.
I finished at around lunch time and was really hungry. Since the salon is located in an area where no public utility vehicles pass by (I got there via taxi), I have to walk a few miles to reach the main road. The thing is, the scorching heat of the sun was unbearable but i managed to walk a few steps. While walking, I passed by Shell Cafe. My eyes literally shined. Finally, a place to rest a bit before started walking again.
According to the staff, their pastries and iced coffee are best sellers. Unfortunately, i wasn't in the mood for sweets so i skipped it.
I was craving for carbonara pasta but since its not available, I ordered the korean Samyang.
Pouring the whole spicy sauce to the noodle wasn't quite a good idea. Just after my second bite, I can feel the spicy kicking in. So I ordered Yakult cultured milk drink to remove the spiciness in my tongue.
There are other things that can be bought in Shell cafe. Aside from food, they have mini merchandise for essentials too. One moment I heard a customer asking if they have life jackets for swimming which they do have.
Although the prices are admittedly higher compared to normal grocery stores, convenient stores like this is a life saver for emergencies. Thus the word- "convenient" store.
There are other Shell Cafe branches all over the country. All having different things to offer.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
