I saw a trend on Instagram stories with a template that says "Summer is calling". People are ought to post their summer entry photos in the template and share them in their stories. I thought of sharing mine with my fellow Hivers :)
For this year's summer, I've only been to a few beaches- the best is at Alcoy beach.
Transportation was about 3 hours land trip from Cebu city. Since it's quite far, an overnight stay is preferred so as to maximize the stay.
During the afternoon of our stay, it happened to be a low tied so we witnessed the seaweeds in the sand. There were also small crabs but we didn't bother collecting them because their too small to serve for dinner. Plus, the weather was too hot.
For me, it's best to chill on the beachside during the night. Listening to waves with drinks at hand and good conversations- the perfect way to end the day. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do this during our trip because there isn't much space within the beach area. We stayed by the pool inside the resort instead.
I wonder how it feels like living in the seaside. Does people eat unlimited seafoods? I love shrimp and crabs- are these food cheaper in the seaside?
I had a seatmate in college back then who's provincial home is near the sea. As per his story, life by the sea is really simple. During the day, they would go fish hunting using their trusty fishnets and whatever they caught that day would be their meal. If there's an excess, they either share it with their neighbors or sell them at a low price.
We ended our trip after a nice breakfast with a view the next day.
That's it for today blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
