It's 12 midnight in our country which means it's already February 14- Valentine's Day. My dear Hivers, if no one has greeted you a happy valentines day yet, then this is your first valentines day greetings.
Happy Valentine's Day!
For our first valentines day, Ben and I celebrated at Texas road house restaurant. This is actually my first time eating in this restaurant. It has been said they are known for their delicious and tender meat cuts.
Upon entering the restaurant, the staffs served us a complementary buns with butter, plus a packed of peanuts. The buns were delicious! The best thing is, we can refill as much as we want.
As a pasta lover, I was quite disappointed to know that not a single pasta dish is in their menu. To me, it's quite peculiar since pasta is always common in every restaurant.
We ordered their salad, chicken bits, and pork cutlets.
Here's a photo of my date trying to be a gentleman haha
If you're looking for an intimate place for date nights, this restaurant might not be the perfect place as the music were quite loud and very jolly. When the clock strike 8pm, all their staffs had an intermission dance number as a way of entertaining the diners.
I also notice that most of their customers are foreigners, both white and black people. This must be a globally renowned restaurant.
After dinner, we went for some hot tea at Starbucks since we were so full from our meal. Ben doesn't actually like drinking tea but unfortunately, he got a cough so I insisted we should not order a cold sugary beverage and instead have a hot brewed tea.
Regardless whether it's Valentine's Day or not, I hope we all celebrate love in all forms, which includes self love.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
