Another typhoon named "Basyang" (MALAKAS) had intensifies the effects of Agaton.
Yesterday morning, the electricity was out but luckily it came back in the evening. I got my phone charged and saw a lot of posts on social media showing their flooded places and asking for help. And I was deeply saddened by the reports of landslide in Leyte that killed 22 people and left another 27 persons missing. Hundreds of people were also injured with half of them being taken to hospitals. There have been some floods in Iloilo also, and the water has reached the rooftops of several of their houses.
My brother, who is currently in Cebu, asked about our current condition here this morning after seeing many posts about Sagay City being flooded. But, by God's grace, we are safe, and the water level remains low.
These are the pictures I took when I went to the nearest store to buy some candles and other things we needed. It's a little depressing that in times like these, commodity costs had doubled, making the low-level struggle more.
Fortunately, our house is on the elevated area, and the water just reaches our fence.
Our electricity is down once again, but we are hopeful that it will be restored soon so that we can monitor the weather forecast and take the appropriate precautions as a result of the continuous raining.
Calling also other hivers affected by these typhoons to give us an update on your latest situation.
Let us all pray for the safety of everyone. Stay safe and God bless us all.
