Hello everyone! How are you? I hope you're doing great. And I hope you're drinking your favorite coffee, or tea!
I have this facebook friend named Mevi, I was friend with her since pandemic times but we're not that close and I remember that we just had a few interactions through messenger. But we have a lot of mutual friends.
Recently, we were having a conversation about them, Mevi and her family moving here in our congregation. So it means that Mevi and I would be getting closer since it's expected that she’ll be one of my partners in ministry. I'm really excited to have a teen companion in our ministry and it's good news that she will be one of them.
One Thursday, she texted me if she could join with my scheduled bible study, of course I said yes! So after our group preaching, we ate our lunch at our friend’s house. And after that we went to my aunt’s house to rest and take a nap since our schedule will be 3 at noon.
We still have time to rest. We planned to sleep but before we could do that, we were talking about a lot of things until we talked about our teenage cringe moments or kilig moments in filipino term. Until we talked about our heartbreaks. Different situation but the same lesson.
Anyway, in our story we just learned to guard our heart first and don't let someone to ruin our pure and healed heart again. To fall in love when we are ready, not when we are lonely. And at the end of that topic, we both laughed when we revealed that we haven't prayed about the one yet. Because we are afraid that maybe one day he comes and yet we’re not yet ready and still enjoying our singleness.
I’m just glad that we have the same mindset about love. But for now, we’re both busy in working for our spiritual growth, maturity, and financial stability. Though our main focus is our spiritual goals but we're still working to support our financial needs. And of course working in progress to be able to have a stable income!
After we talked and laughed about things in our life, we decided to take a nap since we had a lot of free time before teaching.
Long story short, we woke up, we got ready, we went to the student’s house. After teaching, we rewarded our self with milk tea, fries, and burger.
When I gave my payment, Mevi said she already paid it! I was shocked and a bit of embarrass because I didn't expect that. But I'm still thankful and said I’ll treat her too, next time! Give and take vibe.
Anyway, we unexpectedly had bond with her parents since their work place is just near the milk tea shop where we're in. So Mevi, ordered for them too.
Mevi, is the beautiful girl in front!
I really had fun eating with them.
And most of all, I was thankful because Mevi accompanied me with my scheduled study. I really enjoyed being with her, and I look forward for a lot of moments to be with her again!
Thank you so much for reading!
Anyway, I really like the quote about happiness in this shop.
"Happiness is not by chance, but by choice."
That's real. You can choose what things would make you happy and you can do things in your own to achieve real happiness. You can't just wait for a happy moment to say you are happy. It's your own decision and choice.
Thank you for reading! Again.
