Happy Fiesta Sitio Kandarong, Pulang-Bato ,Cebu City
Yesterday, May 3 , 2026 , my father and I were visited to our relatives in Sitio Kandarong,Pulang-Bato, Cebu City because they invited us to join their fiesta celebration in honor of their Patron, San Vicente Ferrer .
It was ended a happy dinner with our close relatives there and a day with full of joy and excitement for it was such a reunion for us once a year . Fiesta celebration is the only time of gathering with closed relatives to meet each other with a hug and greetings.
My father was very excited to visit his home town before,Barangay Pulang-Bato. Part of this Barangay is Sitio Kandarong were some of my father's nieces and nephews are living there since early 70s. These relatives are closed to us , that is why we dont hesitate to visit them during occasion like fiesta . Two of my cousins there were preparing foods for visitors . Eating in fiesta with relatives has different feelings in which we can ate a lot and forgot our diet . Foods were prepared so well , with fruits, desserts, drinks and of course beer.
This is the Filipino tradition especially Catholics to offer foods during fiesta in honor of patron Saint. Fiesta celebration is not complete without offering foods and and of course inviting visitors for meals . Visitors were not going there for just eating a lot . We should always remember that fiesta is for the Patron Saint big honor and thanks giving for the Saint to pray the family for guidance and give more blessings of good health and financial for the family and also ask prayer from Saint to give peaceful life in the certain place .
Right after we ate , my father and I were stopped at the chapel to light candles and pray to San Vicente Ferrer for his guidance to us to go home safely .
Thanks for visiting my blog .
All pictures are mine and the lead pictures were edited in canva .
God bless us all !
