Intro
It's June already and I'm still nowhere near my Hive goals. Personal stuff and offline gigs are taking much of my time and it's okay. Hive will still be here whenever I go back, which is a good thing because in some sense, this is like therapy. It's a journal that I get to write whatever comes to mind. Unlike freelance work where I write what the client wants, blogging is a way for me to clear the cobwebs in my mind. In a way, my Hive stuff keeps my mind focused on the other things I have to do because it forces me to think of what I am doing in this little corner of the interwebs.
Hive
The recent drop in $Hive price is a wake up call for me. I mean, I've known about it already and I haven't invested that much into the token but it's still something that I, or we, should all be aware of. That Hive's trading volume and market cap isn't that big and we are slowly falling in the rankings. If no new money comes in, then I guess we are all screwed. Still, we have one thing that makes Hive different; we have a user-base of creators that regularly churns out content posted in the many front ends. This user-base is also a captured audience that can also work as a megaphone to the outside world, if only we could figure out a way to do it efficiently and effectively.
*I got myself a Hot Matcha Latte while my wife had a cold drink that I forgot and wasn't able to get a photo of.
Freebies from CBTL
So, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is celebrating their anniversary. And you know what that means - freebies and promo items. LOL. For this year, they are giving away a nice bag if you complete the stickers, which is basically buying 20 regular or large sized drinks for the month of June so you can choose one item from their 21st Anniversary Collection. I found out about it only recently so my 2 stickers are good for a start. If only last month's coffee consumption were included, then I might already have 2 reward picks already.
Farmer Juan???
I checked out a few farm lots over the weekend; some good, some not so good. The owners/agents were very eager to show me around so I was able to take a look at a few properties that meet the criteria: near our present location, relatively affordable, good water pressure/electricity, good community, fertile land, safety and security of the area.
*This is aspirational of course, but something that should make my life better if I actually started a mini-farm😎.
Conclusion
It has been a hectic weekend as I've had too many errands to run in between meetings, but that hasn't stopped me from looking at the charts to check up on the price of Hive and the other cryptos that I am closely following. Hopefully, the next weekend would be as packed as this one and I will have more time for the 3Rs: reflection, rest and recreation. Hopefully, the alts get to bounce back even with the strong BTC on the upward trend.
And that's it for today's blog. Thanks for dropping by and reading my blog. Heck, even just looking at the photos wold make me happy. Wishing the best for you. Happy Monday everyone!
