Hello everybody,
My favorite mode of transportation is our own Van for a year now. We use this to get around, visit places and for our geotechnical consultancy business.
Wayback November 2016 our 2nd daughter invited us to come to Cebu for a vacation. But the vacation becomes permanent residency because when hubby offered his services to the Office of the Building Officials, clients come after one another. That time we just rented the transportation to and fro the project sites. Then, me and hubby take a taxi to met clients. Whenever I went to the market I rode a tricycle.
Actually both hubby and I are from Cebu but in 1993 we migrated in Olongapo City, stayed there for 23 yrs. There we have our Nissan Bluebird.
But in the year 2012 Olongapo was flooded, a big big flood the water was until the 2nd flr of the building, many cars were full of mud, the car was not swift away down the river it stopped on a huge tree. Until now still at a car shop not in running conditioned.
On the summer of year 2020, hubby bought a secondhand multicab, used as the service for the business and for personal used.
But, both hubby and me is not comfortable when we ride the multicab, especially during long travel, our body is so tired. On the same year we transferred to a new abode, built our tiny house in a prairie.
On my 65th birthday, that was last year hubby bought the Van. When my son saw an Ad on FB that a Japanese Business man was selling his 10 of tourist bus. He closed his business due to Covid. We right away checked the Van and hubby liked it. After checking all the papers from LTO that it was good, hubby paid them and the Van handed to us. The following day because it was my birthday together with my son-in-law, we have the same birthday, our family travelled to Alcoy to the beach. The Van is just right it accomodated us all. We have a big family.
Then, "maritess" neighbors and some relatives, came in questioning why hubby bought a Van. They say it is big for us and we have no car park built for it. But, hubby just close his ears. It was his decision, they have no right to question him because hubby did not ask a penny from them to pay for the Van.
Then,Typhoon Odette came, the Van was a helped by accommodating our Myoho Sis, we visited house to house the members as far as the Municipality of Argao or to the South of Cebu, checking their condition.
January came hubby was the foundation consultant of 3 towers so we bore their site in Dalaguete, both multicab and the Van was used on the project.
Next month of February another 4 towers in the Island of Leyte. So, the Van was used as service for the drilling crews and equipment. We did not go with them because both me and hubby is not vaccinated, one of the requirements in boarding the boat.
So, in the long run hubby was not wrong in buying the Van, it is really of good use to us and the business.
We travelled to the South of Cebu as far as the Municipality of Boljoon.
Then last week we travelled to the North of Cebu as far as San Remigio
To sum up, this Van is of big help to us especially we are Senior Citizen already.
Thanks with this contest, this is my entry.
Thanks for dropping by...
