BRIGADA ESKWELA 2024
Hi everyone!
Another day, another blog from me!
I'm back and once again this is KhaY. I'm excited to share a quick update from my school community nowadays.
How are you? I hope you're all doing well. Always think positive and don't hesitate to ask for guidance with our beloved God.
I previously mentioned that our research study was successfully defended. Also, I want to express my gratitude for your readership on my blog.
As a college student, I'm facing some challenges but I know they'll be worth it in the future. Education is crucial for achieving my goals, especially as I aspire to become a teacher and make a positive impact on my community and school.
In the Philippines, it's a voluntary for us to participate in "Brigada Eskwela." This initiative aims to improve and prepare school facilities before the academic year starts.
I'll be sharing more about our "Brigada Eskwela" efforts.
Since my house is far from our school, I took a bus from us for one and half hour until I got to our school. It's a bit tired tho!😌
So what does Brigada Eskwela mean here in the Philippines?
It's a super cool program established under Republic Act 8525. Through this idea we can get everyone involved in preparing our schools for the new academic year.
By working together, we can make sure that our learning facilities are all set and ready well before classes start.
This means teachers can go on into teaching and students can jump into learning without worrying about cleaning up the classroom. Through this we are embracing the Filipino value of "Bayanihan" wherein we help each other out without expecting anything in return.
In order to manage the large number of students in the College of Education, the decision was made to divide us into sections and assign specific rooms and hallways to clean. Our section has been assigned to clean a particular room and hallway. We are ready to take on the task and ensure that the areas are clean and welcoming for everyone.
We cleaned the whiteboard that had permanent marker on it, and we were able to erase it using a small amount of water and alcohol.
We successfully cleaned the window, the floor, wall, as well as the hallway and despite the initial dirt buildup, we are pleased to see that they have been cleaned thoroughly.
What's really cool is that we all come together and manage to have a great time cleaning inside and in the hallway, with lots of laughter, chatting, jokes, singing, and dancing.
Hiver's!
Always remember that education is important in everyone's aspect of life to achieve your goals in the future.
The Brigada Eskwela program provides an opportunity for us to make a positive step and impact on the quality of public and private education. By participating in the Brigada Eskwela program, we can volunteer and help to enhance the learning facilities in the Philippines.
We have to be united in all aspect of our community or in this world. We have to collaborate, cooperate and ask help with other caring individuals to create a better learning environment for our students and pupils. Your participation can be a big help!
