Hi, Hive! I hope everyone's doing well.
This blog is all about ✨ Proud Moments, Bright Futures: A Recognition Day Reflection ✨
Recognition Day
The day where the efforts of every deserving honor students are acknowledged for their hard work and achievements.
Before The Recognition Day
Before the day of our recognition, I told my dad to buy shoes glue so I can repair my shoes, my original plan was to buy a new school shoes next school year and I will just wear my old one during our recognition day. But when my father saw my school shoes, he immediately told my mother to buy me a new pair of shoes since my old shoes are already damaged and there's even a hole in the middle. Luckily, my mother had extra money to buy me a new pair of school shoes. I am so lucky that I have them as my parents.
This is the the new pair of shoes that they bought for me.
But, we still had a huge problem. We don't have a photographer or someone that can take a picture of us while me and my mother are on the stage. My uncle’s wife, which used to be our photographer, already had a child and is busy taking care of her newly born child. My cousin's older sister is also pregnant and she cannot attend because she is still at her first trimester and she kept on vomiting everytime she smells something bad.
So I texted my friend Cheyenne, who was sitting on the first row, thinking she could take a picture of me. After I texted her, she replied that she could take a picture of me on the stage.
Problem solved.
The Day of Our Recognition
We were told to come to the venue at 7:00 AM because the event will start at exactly 7:30 AM. I set multiple alarms from 3 AM to 5 AM so I could wake up early, because I know it really takes me a while to get ready and finish my morning routine.
With all the alarms I set, I only woke up at 4:30 AM because I snoozed all of my alarms, since I was still so comfortable sleeping.
My mother did my hair. I saw a hair tutorial on a social media app and showed it to her. Luckily, it was easy, and she was able to copy it.
I did my own makeup. Though my makeup was simple, it gave me just the right amount of confidence to shine throughout the day.
After doing and preparing ourselves for the event, we immediately went to the venue. Since it was still so early, we grabbed the opportunity to take some photos so we wouldn’t feel awkward posing when there were more students and their parents around.
This is me.
My mom took this photo.
This is me and my cousin.

After taking lots of photos, we went inside and sat on the benches. When Jam arrived, we took pictures again.

What monkey see, monkey do. LOL
The Stage Design
My cousin's classmate's mother kept on complaining about the stage design, she said that it looks so bad and unprepared. But I didn't mind, as long as we pass and get a medal, I’m fine with it.
I sat in the second row, so I had a clear view of the stage and the students who would be called up.
This is the photo that I took while waiting for my name to be called.
I placed my phone on Cheyenne’s seat so she could take a picture of me, and thank God she got the shot—because if not, my mom would’ve had nothing to post, LOL!

I want to take a moment and thank Cheyenne for taking a picture of me and my mother. If it weren’t for her, I seriously wouldn’t have anything to look back in the future!
These are the pictures/selfies that I took with my medal and certificate.
I'm really so proud of myself because I've been consistent with high honors since grade 9!
After the ceremony, I took pictures with my different circles of friends.
First, my OG circle
Rainbowpopz.
Then my Grade 11 circle of friends
Kulto ni Mami Kim (not really a cult, lol).
I also had a moment with my cousin
we're both With High Honors! We're actually a trio, but Faith is currently in Bulacan. It’s just the two of us here now, and honestly, we miss Faith so much. Our friendship isn’t the same without her.
And lastly, a very special friend gave me a flower in my favorite color.
He said he picked that flower because it reminded him of Rapunzel and he said I kinda look like her because of my long hair.
I love all of them so much! They’re one of the biggest reasons why Grade 11 was actually fun and unforgettable.
After taking pictures, we went to my niece’s Kindergarten Moving Up Ceremony.
She looked so cute!
She was the one who delivered the welcome address, and he looked so cute doing it! She really memorized everything and she did not forgot one word at all. She sounded so cute while delivering her welcome address.
I’m so proud of her.She received the Star Reader Award! I love her so much
After attending my niece's moving up ceremony, me and my family went to Jollibee to eat our lunch.
There were so many people at Jollibee since others were also celebrating there. We had to wait a few minutes just to get a seat, and then another 30 minutes to finally get our order.
We took lots of photos while waiting for our order.

Finally, after 30 minutes our order arrived.
Yummy!
While eating, I was wondering why the text on the wall was written as “ioy in every bite” instead of “joy in every bite“.
Then I realized that it was just the font.
After eating our lunch, we immediately went back to my niece's school to witness her dance “Ang pipit”.
These are the pictures that she took on my phone with her friends. LOL
That's it for this blog, my dearest hive friends. Thanks for reading!
