Summer Diaries: Swimming, Laughing, and Making Memories
One of the best parts of summer is swimming. Ever since I was a kid, I've really loved going to the beach, and when I finally tried swimming in a pool, I ended up loving pools even more. I'm definitely a swimming-pool-over-the-beach kind of girl. But ironically, I still don't know how to properly swim, I almost drowned before when I was younger.
Just like what I said earlier, this trip was unexpected. I had literally just woken up when they suddenly told me that we were going swimming. At that time, I was still so sleepy and out of focus, of course, I had just gotten out of bed.
San Remigio Beach Club
We went swimming at San Remigio Beach Club, and before we could finally swim, we first had to pay the entrance fee, which was 180 pesos each.
When we arrived, it honestly felt like we were renting the whole resort because there were no other guests around except us and the staff. It was so quiet and peaceful, like we had the place all to ourselves.
Nostalgic
This wasn't our first time here. We've already been to this place before, but that was a long time ago, back in 2022 after the pandemic.
Now that we came back, it really brought back a lot of memories. We were with the whole Gimenez family, and back then we had so much fun together. It was such a happy and unforgettable experience, and it even took us a long time before we went home.
Since this was really unexpected, we didn't have a proper plan for food. The only things we brought were two boxes of pizza and some water. But for me, I also brought snacks just to be safe.
Pool Slides
We also tried the slides, and at first, we were going one by one and it was really fun. Then I don’t know what got into us, but we suddenly decided to go all together, me, my brother, my cousin, and my nephew.
We all went down at the same time, and honestly, I almost wanted to back out while we were sliding. But it was already too late to stop. It was so fast, and it even hurt because our heads bumped into each otheer.
Don't try what we did because it was really painful. We even lost the mood to swim after that.
Exploring the Place
After we went on the slide, we decided to just explore the place since San Remigio Beach Club is really big. They even had activities like wall climbing and a zipline, but we didn’t try them anymore.
The place is really nice, especially if you’re looking for somewhere to hang out with your family or friends. I would defiinitely recommend San Remigio Beach Club if you want a fun and relaxing getaway.
The funny part of this resort was when we saw a "tiger." I couldn't stop laughing because it didn’t really look like a real tiger at all, it looked more like a dog that was just painted with tiger stripes.
They also had a mini basketball ring, and my younger sibling really enjoyed it because he loves basketball so much. He was really happy and excited the whole time.
We also went to the area near the sea, and it was really beautiful. My camera did not give justice to how beautiful the scenery is. In person, it is really beautiful. You can clearly see the nearby islands, and the view is so stunning and relaxing to look at.
Back to the Pool
After exploring the whole place, we went back to the swimming pool to swim again. I didn’t try the slide anymore because I was a bit traumatized from earlier. Since we had already finished all our pizza and we were getting hungry, I remembered that I brought snacks. So I just shared them with everyone so we wouldn’t get hungry.
After a while, it was already getting dark, we decided to go home.
That would be all for now. See you in my next blog!
