Happy belated Valentine's Day, Hiverrs.;)
My story today is about what happened on Feb 14, Valentine's Day.
Others are busy preparing gifts and flowers for Valentine's Day that they want to give to their loved ones. This day is not just for lovers but for all those who love and will be loved.
I wasn't ready that day. I made plans, but it was just a plan because I was too busy with work, so I even forgot two days straight from work because of the schedule, but I still had nothing to do, so I went in.
I had a lot of plans for Valentine's Day, not for the person I like but for my parents. It was my first time making up with them, so I was nervous. Luckily, my schedule changed that day, so I quickly prepared for everything.
We bought Mom some things to cook because I said you just cook for our celebration. Mom was talking about flowers and chocolate, but we both hid it so that the plan to be held wouldn't be obvious. Of course, My Ate and Jhenly were in cahoots with me HAHA. My sister was helping my mom cook while I told my sister on the chat that I was leaving to buy a cake and flowers. We were talking on the chat because Mom might hear.
I didn't know the weather got worse, and it suddenly started raining haha. I went to the SM center to buy a cake, and then I also went by the flowers.
When I got home, my mom had just finished cooking pancit, grilled milkfish, grilled pork, and pork stew. Of course, I left what I brought at the other house. I called my sister to see if she was okay. The mission was about to fail because Mom answered well, so I immediately turned it off. HAHA
Later on, we blindfolded Mom and Dad and started singing "Happy Valentine's Day, Mom and Dad." Of course, we also gave each other a speech of gratitude and forgiveness. They were very touched because somehow we are slowly making up for them. I know that this year I won't be able to study yet, but I accept it because there are still needs that I really need to fulfill and responsibilities as a daughter and sister in the family.
Our celebration was simple, but we were happy because we are complete and remain cheerful even though there are trials we are going through. I am thankful to God because he gave me kind and loving parents, so they deserve all the things they have now.
