It’s been quite a while since I last wrote a blog here on Hive. Life threw me a few personal matters that needed my attention, so I had to step back for a bit. But today, I’m excited to finally share something simple yet delightful that brought me joy and reminded me why I love writing these little stories with you.
Yesterday, my boyfriend surprised me with lunch. I thought it would just be the usual Andok’s grilled chicken, but to my amazement, he came home with something I didn’t expect—inihaw na bangus(grilled milkfish)!
I honestly didn’t know that Andok’s, famous for their grilled chicken, also sells bangus. The discovery alone was enough to make me curious, but when I tasted it, I was hooked. The fish was perfectly grilled, smoky yet tender, and paired beautifully with the toyomansi (soy sauce with calamansi) that came with the order. That tangy-salty dip elevated the flavor even more.
Because I was so amazed and excited, I couldn’t resist taking photos of the bangus before we sat down for lunch. It felt like one of those little everyday surprises that deserve to be remembered and shared.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my comeback blog. Sometimes, joy comes in the form of unexpected meals, and I’m glad I could share this one with you. Until my next post, I hope you also find small surprises that brighten your day.
