Last week, after a quick restroom break and stroll inside Starmall EDSA-SHAW, I was supposed to ride a jeepney to the PAG-IBIG Office in Shaw Boulevard. But since I needed to catch up with my transaction before lunch break, I decided to book a motorcycle taxi through the Joyride Superapp instead.
It had been a while since I last rode a mototaxi, so I was a bit excited. The fare was only ₱50, but I added a ₱20 tip through the app. I waited around 15 minutes before the rider arrived, and when we finally reached my drop-off point, I decided to hand him ₱100 cash instead of just ₱70.
The rider’s reaction was priceless. He was genuinely happy and thankful. That small gesture reminded me how even little acts of generosity can brighten someone’s day.
