Hello Hive Family! 💖 Special shoutout to my fellow Filipino bloggers; I hope you’re all doing well and finding joy in the little things around us. Today, I want to share a simple yet heartwarming story that made my day extra special.
Yesterday afternoon, my generous neighbor knocked on my door with a surprise in hand, a bowl of palabok. She told me it was cooked by her son, who is currently on vacation here in the Philippines. Her son works as a chef on a cruise ship and will be heading back to work early next month.
What touched me most was that there wasn’t any occasion in their family. He simply wanted to cook, and I was lucky enough to be remembered and included in that gesture. My neighbor never forgets me every time there’s special food in their family, and this time was no exception.
The palabok itself was truly delicious: rich, flavorful, and clearly made with skill. Knowing it came from the hands of someone who cooks professionally made it even more special. It wasn’t just food; it was a reminder of kindness, generosity, and the joy of sharing.
Thank you, Hive Family, for taking the time to read my little story. Sometimes, happiness comes in the form of a simple bowl of palabok shared by a neighbor. May we all continue to appreciate these small acts of love and generosity in our daily lives. 💕
