Jackfruit- a tropical tree which has a sturdy trunk ,oval leaves and green fruit when unripe. As it ripens, the color of the rough skin becomes yellow with brown patches and releases a strong, fragrant smell. This summer fruit can be eaten raw or cooked. Ripe and unripe fruit are used in some dishes too. The seeds should not be thrown away. It can be eaten too, boiled or broiled. Another important part is the wood taken from this useful tree. It is used in making musical instruments like guitar and other string instruments. Jackfruit is known for many health benefits, but eating too much can affect the body especially the digestive system because of its sap which is a little bit sticky. According to some findings, the fruit should not be eaten with certain drinks or beverages. It's not a good combination and dangerous to one's health. There are also people who are allergic to it and must control the cravings. For those who are not, enjoy every bite but in moderation.🙂
