It's been five long months since my husband and I last saw each other in the flesh! The last memory in my head was me looking at him as he lined up for a check-in going back to Taiwan. Since the day he left, I had been planning to visit him. Though it was a financial challenge since I couldn't work for a month during his vacation, it meant no monthly income. Of course, my bills didn't stop the support for my parents in the province, which I don't plan to stop. They are already old, and as much as possible, I wanted to give them the best.
To be added, we processed our electricity application, which was expensive because of the blueprint. Initially, I wanted to book the date for the last week of this month to celebrate my birthday with him. Thus, after checking some factors, it wasn't applicable, so I ended up on the first week. The ticket booking was challenging, and I am considering moving the date to November. Thanks to my friend, who was patient enough to look for a cheap flight for me! Not only my friend but, thanks to Hive, sold some of my liquid HBD to Adam added only a few bucks to pay for the entire ticket! Isn't that awesome?
A night before my flight, I couldn't sleep 🤣. Guessed I was excited at the same time worried. Hearing about issues in NAIA and with the Immigration officers can't help but think, what if I will be off-loaded? It added to worry that an incoming Typhoon in Taiwan is soon to enter the Southern part. What if my flight is canceled? So much to stress, and the heavy rain pouring doesn't help at all.
It was still raining while riding in a taxi to the airport. This made me wonder why it always rains every time I have scheduled ganap? Pretty sure I don't have balat sa puwit (birthmark on the booty). Filipinos have that belief that it brings bad luck.
The sky is dark and gloomy, but my heart isn't 😁. My stomach is already grumbling as I haven't eaten anything solid since last night, so I dropped by Jollibee.
Spaghetti and Crispy chicken joy is enough to satisfy my tummy.
I went down to line up to get my boarding pass and settled my travel tax afterward.
My Airline was Airasia as it was more affordable than Cathay Pacific. I noticed that the self-service check-in was out of service. Ahhh, my friend did me a favor for my check-in online.
The airport attendant who assisted me was cool, but not in the Immigration. The interview lasted only for a few minutes, but that wasn't very reassuring. The tone of voice, the way the IO delivered those questions? I did rant in Hiveph discord. Thanks for the convo, lol.
My passport was finally stamped. This is my first out of a country Travel. My officemates asked me if I was not scared. Have I so told them why should I? I am no longer a kid and used to being alone. This was nothing new.
My bottled water! It was okay to bring one at the pre-departure since I bought it at the airport, but I did not. Tsk, I drank all of it before entering. Everything goes smoothly, and I am chilling while waiting for my flight.
Hehe, yes, Mickey is going with me! It was only past one afternoon, and my boarding time was four. Almost three hours before my flight, I got my laptop and wrote a part of this blog to kill time. Will add some details after I land in Taiwan.
After hours of writing drafts and waiting finally, we are called for boarding. I thought Air Asia was always delayed, but it seems the opposite. We are ahead of time.
It takes only more than one hour and finally! Hello Taiwan, and happy to see you, Miloves ❤️❤️.
Our first decent photo after walking around. We got that little piggy after playing in a claw machine.
Thanks for dropping by and see you in the next blog.
