The sun was just about to rise when I woke up. I honestly did not have quality sleep because I might have just been excited since today was my first day of school for the new academic year. I just wore our college's organizational shirt, which is a combination of black and yellow, my id, and a genuine smile. But I remembered my mask was covering it. Anyway, the eyes won't lie.
It seems I wasn't smiling in this particular photo. But I do. Just a bit serious.
Going back to the university, it's the green field that first caught my attention, and it welcomed me with its pleasant view.
I suddenly felt the urge to go inside and jog, but I realized I was wearing denim pants. We no longer have any P.E. subject since we have them already in our first two years of college, but it's good to still spend some time here doing sports, running, or just walking around before the sun sets.
While walking, I saw two university buses. I haven't entered any of the two yet, but if I'm given a chance, I'd like to experience it.
Just a few more steps and the university guestel canteen can be found.
We used to eat here, but there are also many more small eateries inside that offer a variety of food such as sisig, pinakbet, fried chicken, afritada, balatong, and many more native Ilocano and Filipino dishes.
And here's one of the usual places I go during the face-to-face classes 3 years ago.
I used to stay in this Students Park while waiting for our next class or doing some activities or having some small talks with them. Many memories resonate in my mind as I look at it, and many of those are worth reminiscing.
There were only a few students in the first photo since I came to the university early, but after a few more minutes, it started to be filled with many students from different colleges.
I smiled as I approached a group of students wearing the same org shirt as mine. They are my classmates, and each of them is equally smart and talented in their own way. "As the black and gold shouts, bold as we stand, strong as we fly."
The trees beside the park are tall enough, providing shade and fresh air. The weather seems fine as of this moment, and it really goes along with the happy vibe of every student who is really excited about the start of the new academic year. I, for example, am elated about this day.
By the way, I entered from the back entrance so as to avoid traffic from the main entrance. But as you pass through the main entrance, the photo above welcomes every student, faculty, staff, and everyone else in the university.
Hallway at the CBAA Building
The hallway in our building reminds me of the old times. It is as if I can hear the voices of students talking to their classmates, their giggles and all. Thinking of it makes me smile as these things happen again. It may not be the same as before, but the excitement of sharing things and spending time with your circle and classmates will always be there.
As they say, one should really choose whom they will get along with when they enter college, and I am very lucky to be in a group where each and everyone helps one another not just to understand the lesson which someone is hard up but also, at times where someone needs a lift of inspiration. Someday somehow, we will go our own ways, but the bond and closeness will still be intact. It would be cherished forever.
As we met each other in the room, we exchanged warm his and hellos. Their familiar voices seemed a melody to my ears. After talking about various things, some giggled, some had smiles that were beaming through, and after a few moments, we then took photos. I wasn't prepared, but I just looked at the camera and smiled shyly. It couldn't be seen, though, because I was wearing my mask. But then, after the count of three, a great moment was photographed. We have different stories to tell, but we all have a common goal of achieving the CPA title.
When our last class for today (which is not yet formal) was over, then it rained. I wasn't able to bring my umbrella, so we waited first until it stopped. The rain symbolizes leaving the old behind and embracing the new. When the sky calmed down, we decided to go home. Our next class will be on Thursday. Though we didn't do so much today, I went home tired. But surely, it was a great experience.
All the images are mine.
