Today, my sister invited us over for a DIY beauty session.
We're going to do an eyelash perm at home. 😍👀
She recently bought a complete eyelash perming kit that had all the essentials we needed.
To do it properly, she also asked our friend Dina, who works in a salon, to guide us through the process.
Our cousin Mica goes first.
Dina started by placing tape under Mica's eyes to secure the lower lashes and keep them out of the way.
Then after that, she placed a silicone rod on the eyelid, which will be the base to shape the lashes.
One by one, she glued the lashes onto the rod, making sure they were evenly spread and properly aligned.
Once everything was set, she applied the pink perm lotion.
This is the solution that helps reshape the lashes, giving them that lifted look.
The lashes were then covered with plastic and another tape, and left for about 40-45 minutes.
This time, it required patience.
Coz that's the time the transformation is slowly happening.
After that, it was time for the fixer lotion, which is the blue one.
This one helps lock in the curl. This will be left on for another 15 minutes.
And the last solution is moisturizing...
This one needs to nourish the lashes and complete the process.
Sadly, I wasn't able to take a photo during that part, but that's how the final steps are done.
When it was my turn, I felt a mix of excitement and anticipation.
And after the process, I was amazed.
My eyelashes looked naturally lifted, more defined, and made my eyes appear more awake even without mascara.
According to Dina, this can last around 2 to 3 months, depending on how fast your lashes grow and how well you take care of them.
In salons, this eyelash perm can cost around 900 pesos/$15.01.
But with the kit, which is priced at about 500 pesos/$8.34, we were able to enjoy the same results at a much lower cost, and able to share it with others.
You can even turn this into a side hustle by offering it to friends for around 150-300 pesos/$2.50-$5.
Until our next self-care...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
