September 15, 2023, the City Government of Bogo formally opened the first ever weeklong Night Market, in celebration of the Business Week which started to open at 5:30 in the afternoon until midnight. Since it was the first Night Market event in the city. We also want the boys to have their first Night Market experience. It is our goal to create happy memories while they're still young. Because we believe that it will help them mould their future. On the last day of the weeklong celebration, we decided to go with the boys.

When Kuya arrived home from school, he excitedly changed clothes and got ready to go, since the younger sibling was already done. At 5:30 we must embark on our journey. Tatay then asked Kuya to run an errand first to a store nearby while we went out of the house and decided to wait for Kuya outside. Not long after we went out of the house, the younger sibling sobbed and then cried out loud because he thought we would leave Kuya behind. Tatay and I both laughed at his reaction, like oh, how sweetš„°.
As a mother, I felt so much happiness within me, discovering the bond they have developed despite the 8-year gap of their age. And so we went off.
On our way to Bogo City which is a 20-minute ride from our home, we were mesmerized by the beauty of the sunset in front of us. The boys enjoyed so much the scenic view that they forgot to fall asleep like what they usually do every time we travel.
When we arrived at the venue, they exited excitedly from our ride and left us behind. So I got a chance to take photos of them, considering Kuya is a very private person. He doesn't want to be taken pictures, especially his face which I always respect.

Making good memories with them is a lifetime treasure.
As we walked through the bunch of nightgoers, I observed that most of them were families together and groups of friends. Some lined up for coffee, milk tea, chicken fries, and balut but most of them sat down in the barbeque area where they enjoyed their food with Laughter.
As we moved forward, our attention was caught by a street food called corndog, why?- That was the first time the boys saw that food. It was a coated hotdog with cheese toppings.
According to the vendor, there are only three steps in preparing the said food, these are the following :
- First, You have to make a batter by combining the dry ingredients, then stir it with milk and egg.
- Next, Skewer the frankfurters and roll in the batter.
- Finally, fry the corn dogs in hot oil until lightly browned. And ready to serve.
Of course, we didn't miss a chance, to taste it. It seemed we made a good choice because it tasted good. And most of all, the boys loved it so much that they ordered more.
As we strolled more down the busy street of the night market area, we noticed peacekeepers on every corner of the street, as a mother I felt secure that nothing unusual might happen. But not long after, I lost sight of the boys which made me panic a little bit. So we searched from corner to corner but found nothing. We searched for more but still to no avail. Losing hope of finding them, I decided to request help from the peacekeepers around.
But before I reached out to them, tatay called that he already found them and guess where? (LOL) at the Jollibee store. So I rushed there and found the younger sibling at the foot of the Jollibee statue. My worries then changed to bliss.
Undeniably, Jollibee is the kid's favorite. So we went into the fast food chain and ordered some value meal, but unfortunately, it was no longer available because it was already late and it saddened my little one.
So we just ordered French fries and went out back to the Night Market area and ate our dinner happily.
Thankful for the night's experience with the learning that being a parent must be meticulous enough in eyeing the children, especially in a crowded place.
Thank you dear Hivers for your time reading our short journey. May God bless us always!
