High school life is one of the most memorable memories that mostly all of us had experienced. One of these memories is the glamorous Junior-Senior (JS) promenade, the rite full of socialization where the students are wearing their elegant, formal, and presentable attire and will be introduced at an evening ball.
In this month of love, our school conducted this big event that will be cherished by our junior and senior high school students. Back-to-back preparations were done, the bookings of the catering who will prepare food in a fine dining way, contacting the famous decorators in our place who will take charge of the venue decoration, and hiring a good sound system that will add vibrancy to this program.
The Dazzling Venue
Despite the bad weather condition that we have, the momentous event that will mark another history in our school never stopped. It was pursued full of enchantment, excitement, and worries about the outcome of this big event.
Let the Promenade Begin
The program started with the grand entrance of the promenaders wearing their daring, fashionable, and stylish attire. The awesome entry overwhelmed the crowd's attention as they were very beautiful and handsome in their looks.
One of the purposes of the JS prom is for them to learn the different table etiquette in social manners and in a proper way, thus, part of the program was the well-planned fine dining for everyone. We ate decently together and were able to experience this social rite
Amidst the fine dinner, different presentations were done to entertain the crowd. Meanwhile, I was busy taking photos of the promenaders enjoying the dinner.
The bequeathing of accountability, wisdom, knowledge, and responsibility was done diligently by the students. The senior promenaders, as good models in their junior times, were leaving their footsteps to the juniors. It was about their commitment and dedication that they wanted the younger batch to still accept and continue in their time.
The crowd was entertained when the two senior promenaders delivered their prophecy speech. Loud applause was heard in every corner of the gymnasium showing that they like their prophecies of what will happen to them 10 years from now. It was full of fun and joy.
The lights were turned off and the promenaders were gathered at the center forming the circle as the lighting of the candle was done. It was so mesmerizing and beautiful to watch when the area was surrounded by red.
The first formal dance commenced after the lighting of the candles. Decent moves were observed by them, and their confidence was very evident. They looked fabulous as they do their decent moves on during the cotillion de honor.
The honorary title was done after the formal dance. The major and minor awards were given to the deserving promenaders. They were the lucky winners and I love watching them at the corner. The conquerors of this night's awards took their sensational poise as they proudly received them.
The Abstraction
The program ended successfully. During my time, I wasn't able to experience this social rite, however, I'm glad for the overflowing enjoyment that they have experienced. The true spirit of friendship, happiness, and strengthening camaraderie were achieved during this affair.
