They say, Sharing is loving or It is better to give than to receive and because of this, it made our Sunday extraordinary😍.
We were all excited for this day as we were supposed to have a family date at Bogo City after attending the mass but, we changed our plan. Off we visited the remote area in our barangay instead, where we could spread love and share our blessings.
I have withdrawn a little amount from my Hive, enough to suffice the needs of the children in this place. All of the kids aged 3-7 years old were the recipients of our feeding program. Thank you Hive❤️❤️.
Honestly, this was my husband's initiative to undergo feeding for the malnourished children. As a supportive wife, I asked him what if all the children together with their parents were invited. This was better and happier.
We prepared all the needed ingredients. We went to the market to buy all the stuff for the feeding program.
🥣 10 kilos rice
🥣 1 kilo carrots
🥣 2 kilos. dressed chicken
🥣 1/4 ginger
🥣 1/4 salt
🥣 seasoning
🥣 5 boxes of juice
🥣 onion leaves
🥣 spring onions
We were trying our best to serve the entire families of the place where we visited. Good thing there were good Samaritans in here who extended their help in cooking the pospas rice gruel with chicken meat. This is loved by children and aside from being yummy, it is nutritious.
We also bought ingredients for the spaghetti which will be eaten and shared by everybody.
🍝 5 kilos pasta
🍝 5 and 1/2 kilos of spaghetti sauce
🍝 6 cans corned beer
🍝 2 packs hotdog
🍝 bell pepper
🍝 onions
🍝 garlic
🍝 10 packs of sliced bread
🥤 10 packs of Nestea for drinks
It is a 10-minute drive from our residence. Upon our arrival, they welcomed us all gladly. These were prepared early, perfect to be served as a heavy snack.
This brightened our day, it's a great feeling that you are helping others. When we saw the genuine smiles of the children with their whole families it was so incredible that we wanted to do it again for them to be happy too.
I have agreed with my husband that we will continue this program even thrice a month in the remote areas in our barangay so there will be good nourishment for the children. In such a way, we can help in lessening malnutrition.
We have eaten together, full of joy immeasurable joy. This small preparation many have enjoyed. It was such a fulfilling day! This was our absolutely heartwarming bond.
