I have a wondrous Monday. I traveled from one place to another, from mountains to beaches, and was blessed in my work. And in this blog, I'm going to share the wonderful experiences that are fully packed on this day together with my weekday companion, Bebe.
I was coaching our oratorical contestant. Our rehearsal was in full swing last Wednesday and Thursday as we cannot practice on Friday due to class suspension because of the typhoon being worried by our country.
The competition was held this day and the venue will be Loreto Remedios Montebon National High School. This school is miles away from our school and it is situated at the corner of their barangay, Canao-canao, Tabogon, Cebu.
Preceding there was a lil bit perilous, this was my first time traveling here and definitely, I don't have any ideas about the path. However, the mesmerizing view of nature made my travel more fun.
My Exceptional Model
We left our school earlier so we will not be late for the registration. We passed this travelers' fave spot where they used to stop and be mesmerized by the captivating beauty of nature. I was tempted to take our first stop-off here so I can take a perfect snapshot of my fur baby having the iconic view of the mountains as the background.
It was a 35-minute drive before reaching our destination. The road in going there is good although it is steep slope and winding. It was an enjoyable ride, the surroundings are splendid and evergreen.
The Suspenseful Event
The battle of the brains started 30 minutes after our arrival. There was an opening program before the proper contest started. The contestants need to follow the guidelines given to avoid disqualification.
Congratulations to our school, we nailed third place. We never expected this triumph. Writing an impromptu piece and presenting it in front of 8 jurors, feels like about to be hanged due to nervousness. Indescribable feelings were felt by the contestants, especially my student. Luckily, we did it! It was a great achievement after all. This was not poor for the first-timer. This made me proud as a coach.
Off to Nature's Call
The Queen City of the South,Cebu is not just famous for its different cultures and traditions practiced but also for its superb beaches that are commonly visited by different tourists and beachgoers. Last night, I was asking my husband to spot a cozy beach where we can rapidly do an escapade and get away together. I anticipated the situation already that after the contest, we can have enough time to travel even for a while.
My request was granted and off we went to one of the famed beaches, of Maravilla. This is located and well-known at Tabuelan, Cebu. From what I have heard, the fineness and whiteness of the sand are pretty much the same in Boracay. This place must be included in the must-visited beaches of Cebu.
It was 35 minutes travel and the distance is 17.2 km from our residence. The road is in the midst of the mountains, with a long winding and steep descent roadway. It is a two-lane only and it is not as wide as I think and we need to be cautious to avoid an accident. However, during our trip, we almost had an accident because the road is narrow and it is too winding.
The road was surrounded by green foliage which made the atmosphere cooler. Despite the green scenery which was relaxing, my feelings were set off to trepidation. Some parts of the road are so winding that we can no longer see the oncoming vehicle and the abyss is still very deep.
But all the nervousness I felt was suddenly replaced by excitement when I saw the main road. Finally, we have overcome the difficult road.
The Visit to Stunning Beaches of Maravilla
This month's travel and discoveries of different beaches, Maravilla's for me is highly recommended. Before indulging myself in exploring this enchanting beach, we parked behind their entryway and paid 50 pesos for the parking fee.
Upon stepping into the entrance, the majestic and fine sand surprised me. It is truly attractive and adorable.
As we started traversing the place, everything that we have seen is incredible. The trees around add breathtaking views and the most impressive one is the white and the fine sand. It was an awesome feeling to be here. We were enjoying on this windy day although the extreme heat of the sun kept my Bebe exhausted and thirsty.
Another inviting fact about this beach is being free and open to all. Beach lovers will only pay for the cottages at a very affordable price.
The calming state of the sea waves this time brought me total relaxation. While I was lounging at the seaside, gazing at the cottony blue sky, watching the shimmering seawater and white sand, and looking at the locals enjoying swimming in the sea, alleviate my stress and wearies.
The exhaustion that we felt was just normal and we never regret this quick escapade.
This one-day travel was full of fun and adventure.
