In life, nothing is certain. We have to live every moment, do the things that make our soul happy, try things for the first time, face our fears, and brave our struggles because tomorrow is promised to no one.
Tourists flocked to Bili, Borbon (Northern part of Cebu) for a year or two and ventured to its new tourist destination, Nelmon's Banwa. The new eye-catching spot offered Bali feels without emptying your savings account and hurting your pockets. It was the perfect place to unwind and be with nature's finest.
I remembered how couples, groups of friends, and families went there for a visit and a photo taking of how grandeur the place was. There was never a single day that passed when Banwa didn't have to accommodate visitors. Some even held their debut and pre-wedding photoshoots in the area.
People would surely enjoy the artistic touch of each decoration, the manually crafted styles and designs of the things around it, and the impeccable view of nature. The spot produced, gave, offered, and showed what intelligent ideas and planning accompanied by talented hands do. They must have a genius mind in them to come up with this brilliant idea and incomparably beautiful result.
I was joined by my two former students (both college students now) to have some updates on each other's whereabouts.
WHAT'S IN NELMON'S BANWA
The following were the various spots offered by Banwa to entertain visitors, both kids and kids at heart.
The place received a lot of compliments from people especially when upcoming projects were still crafted like the building of a hanging bridge and infinity pool. People from different places and walks of life came and visited the area and what they were left with was nothing but unforgettable experiences and memories.
The place became popular and well-known to people, especially on social media. It was getting a lot of attention and praise.
But as they say, nothing is permanent in this world.
Unfortunately, the owner died. Since his demise, no one, not even the owner's children and relatives, took charge of taking care of and managing the place. The operation suddenly stopped and it was closed from the public for good. In just a snap, what was used to be a lively, most visited, progressive, beautifully crowded, and inviting spot has now become empty, unaesthetic, devoid, and ruined. It was with a heavy heart to know that what was supposed to be a happy and mesmerizing place has now become abandoned and a part of history. It had established its name, became well-known but it was short-lived.
This is all for today's blog. Be well. Be safe. Until the next writing. ✨
