Hello hivers, my pleasure to be here again, how are you doing, just posted another blog of mine for I was really busy past few days. But I am always praying you are all great everyday.
This is one of my remarkable journey in life. Inside this prestigious hotel are where my struggles hide and most specially the learninhs. It was a struggle because as an On the Job Trainee needs to be careful on everything.
It was hard at first, because the elevator that time was under maintenance. As an OJT assigned in housekeeping department dueing my first two weeks was hell. I mean it was dark days knowing I have to take the stairs all the time specially when giving the guests their requests.
To be strong was my choice, knowing also I do have heart enlargement that time and I guess until now. i don't want to give reasons or maybe excuses to anyone not to experience housekeeping department. Definitely an accepted challenge for my course to finish.
It was a day for us OJT's for us to be able to relax for how many days of doing hardwork. There are foods also that chefs prepared and some talents while the program goes on.
It was a day to have a bible study as we are ask to attend every friday. But it depends, if the department is busy, you can excuse.
But behind that struggles, I am still sure of too many reasons to move forward. I am sure there will be light after this hardships. I have to enjoy the ride that time if not i will lose the battle. I make sure I have enough to give everyday.
I did understand that life is not a pure smiles it also has its own tears that will make you sad, but in the end it will be worth it. I almost surrender during my first two weeks at the hotel but there comes a situation that you are comforted by time while on your training.
Waterfront gives me the realizations that I wasn't expecting. It made me realize on the things that I can't do but able to do it. Many times I doubted but God always says, " You have enough strength and I know you can" it's true that He will not give us load, heavier than we can carry.
Prepared
When I tried Pastry Department for how many weeks, I just enjoyed the smell and the flavor of those sweets we are making. If there are events which consist great number of people, we became so busy that we can't eat on time. Being able to experience big hotels were never easy, you got to be disciplined, respectful and all qualities a hotelier must possess. In hotel industry there is no holiday, be ready to work anytime.
As the hotels demand now and in the future is unpredictable. To be more competitive in any field is a talent. It is more of a dream, more of a successful you want to become in the near future.
I am always thankful for what our school taught us while we are still inside the campus. It is really important to be more equipped before going to the field. I am more thankful to our instructors who mold us very well. We are very thankful for the sacrifices they give on their job. They are all dedicated to teach us everyday to prepare us on the outside world and reality of working in the company.
It was Tourism night and we are ask to be there, so after work we directly went to Hoopsdome Lapu Lapu City Cebu. It was a showcase of different products of hotels in Lapu Lapu City. I am happy I was able to witness the said activity. I definitely don't want to miss this. We are able to taste different foods that day.
Mayor Ahong Chan was also present to recognize all companies present.
Showcasing all their products was so overwhelming as you are their to witness everything of the display.
I always thank God for everything that happened to me before I graduated. It was an amazing journey and very memorable for me. I couldn't ask for more this time but to have a stable job to support my kids.
To end my blog, a sincere thank you to everyone in here who still supports me despite the errors encountered in this platform. I owe everything to you specially to all the people behind the Hive Community. I will always cherish these moments as I start the journey until I can be here in this social media platform. Discipline is always there wherever we go, we have to follow whatever rules are implemented.
I thank God for this wonderful opportunities he prepared for me in all throughout my OJT.
Thanks again everyone and God Bless!
