It is indeed the middle of the year! Can you believe that? 5 months have passed and before we know it, we'll be singing carols and then starting a new year again! I know, that escalated quickly. That's what happened to my May.
I know I started the month strong. I was well ahead of my schedule for the submission of grades and portfolio. I even received the notification already that our homeschooling portfolio has been reviewed and there was nothing wrong with it and come re-enrollment time, we should be good to go.
But I had so many happenings last May. First, we started our 3rd Grade, but we did it slowly and mindfully. We only read 3 light books a day, did some projects here and there, did some nature study out of doors, met up with our fellow homeschoolers, visited the National Museum of Fine Arts, did another portfolio gala, bought books at the Big Bad Wolf, and had some swimming lessons. Those are just some the events for our homeschooling journey.
Aside from that, we also had some meetups done. My husband had a family day at work amd we got to meet his bosses. My daughter was there, being extra competitive in the games while I just sat there and chitchat with my husband's colleagues. It was fun, but when I'm in these kinds of events, my social battery gets spent up quite easily. Maybe on the next family day events, I'll be able to raise my social energy a bit higher.
I also did quite a lot of crochet projects this month. And by "a lot" I meant rush projects. I creared a wedding bouquet and the crochet garlands. I also offered to hold a crochet 101 workshop to my fellow moms in our homeschooling cluster. I was surprised by their enthusiasm and because of that, I am excited to prepare the materials we need for the mini workshop.
One of the exciting things that we did ladt month was meeting up with and
! It was so nice to meet them. I brought Aya along because I knew she'd be excited meeting ladies that are amazing at their arts. Thank you so much to both of you for spending a few hours with us. Aya and I also met up with
's family. I'm starting to see this as an annual thing, Oli. Next time, hopefully we get to be the ones to visit you in your mansion. Hahaha.
But because of all these business last month, I broke my posting streak. I was supposed to hwve 1 or 2 scheduled posts which I replenish every now and then. But then my energy really couldn't keep up with everything that I wanted to accomplish. I am a bit disappointed with myself but then on hindsight, I had to choose between sleep or streak. I chose sleep. My daughter wants me to always choose sleep. Because apparently, she read on one of her books that people who sleep up to 8 hours a day live longer lives. So yeah,I chose sleep over streak.
It's a good thing I still have my duolongo streak. I'm on a 70-day streak already. I'm not pushing myself too hard on this one. I'm not yet on the speaking level, but at least I can read abd understand a few Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Sure, I mix up a lot of the characters, but I started with zero knowledge so yeah, I'm feeling good about it.
When it comes to my HP, I can say I still have a higher holdings than I had last month. It's just a few HP higher because I powered down twice but still, it's higher than 7k HP so I'm good with that as well.
May has been my stumbling rock. Hopefully, I'll be ablento get back up again this June. It's going to be a bit more busy this month because my daughter discovered a library in Makati. It's near a play park so naturally, she wants us to allocate a day in the week when we would go and visit the libraby, read books, probably borrow some, and then go to the park. This kid knows her priorities!
Anyways, happy Hive Powerup day to each and everyone of us! Keep on Hiving!
