Happy new month, everyone! I am so happy today because, after four years, we finally able to visit my father's grave again. It's just a little sad, though, because we couldn't visit my sister's grave this time again. It's been four years since we last visited her. I want to visit her also, but she's buried far from our place. She was buried in Naujan, in some cemetery somewhere near where her partner lives. But I promised that I'd go visit her too with Mama soon. If not this year, then next year. For now, we just lit a candle for her while asking for patience.
Anyway, we didn't prepare much because the cemetery is not that far from our home. You may be wondering why it took us a that long to visit my father's grave, even though it is not that far from us. Well, it's because the fare is kind of pricey. So every year, we will just light a candle for him and my sister, then pray and talk to him. I'm sure Father understands why we can't visit every year.
So, it took 5 minutes to get here using a tricycle. We are really early, as you can see on the photos. The cemetery is still empty in some parts. But on the upper part, there are already people who have started some cleaning. This is the lowest part of where we are walking right now. And you know, if I didn't know that this is a cemetery, those buildings on the way would surely be mistaken for houses. They all look pretty. It seems like the family of those people buried there really put money into giving their loved ones a pretty resting place.
Seeing those beautiful buildings, I can't help but also plan something like this for myself and my family. You know, I will buy land in this part. I will move my father and sister's graves in here, and then I will also prepare mine. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that, right? Preparing it beforehand, hehe. It's better to be ready so that the family I will be leaving behind won't be problematic in my graveyard anymore, if ever. But to make it happen, I need to work my ass off first and save, so I'll do that first (≧▽≦).
By the way, we walk for, like, another few minutes to reach our father's grave. We also encountered a little problem when we couldn't find our father's grave because of the newly built graves on this part. Some are just modified because they buried two people in one graveyard, especially those old couples who died at different times.
After looking around, we finally found the father's grave. I take a picture so that if there are any changes again, we can still find him on our next visit. Oh, and my mother is holding a candle and flowers here for Papa. We didn't buy flowers though, she got those Santan flowers in her garden and arranged them like a bouquet.
I just want to show you what the cemetery at our place looks like. It's neat, big, and really peaceful. And I don't find it scary. The wind here is so strong too, it's like those people buried in there were in one force blowing air to let their presence be known to everyone visiting here. Hahaha, kidding, that's kind of a little spooky, lol. But it's really pretty here. I'm also wondering if there are people who're living in this place, just like in other places, who built their own house in a cemetery. I asked Mama, and she said there was something for sure. Hmm, really?
Back to this, actually, I am the one who started lighting a candle for Papa. But then we are having a hard time letting the fire stay because of the wind. So what I did was look for something that we could use as a cover while Mama was still trying to light the candle. Luckily, I found an old piece of plywood somewhere, and we used that to cover it. And after waiting for a few more minutes, we decided to go home. We said goodbye to Father, and then we left.
Moving on, today is really a special day because it is also HPUD. Of course, I join again on the HPUD and power up 11 Hive.
And I now have 2242 Hive Power, which is fantastic! My account progress is really awesome now. I am glad to see my account growing like this, even though little by little.
I wrote 20 articles in the month of October. I also made 737 comments, I couldn't achieve the 1000 comments because of a health issue. I have to limit my screen time, which is why. As for the new friend added to my account, I have 22 new friends. Hello guys! And I completed another HPUM for October. And I'll continue to do it even this month. All in all, it's awesome. I'll just continue this and have fun as I move forward.
