The end of class for the school year 2022-2023 in the Philippines had already commenced but its memories will last forever. Today, I want to share with you some highlights that our students did the week before their graduation ceremony.
One of their specializations is the TVL-Tailoring, so some of the students were required to showcase their talents on how creative they were in making an output out of recyclable one and a trouser as an output from their training from their subject teacher. On the other hand, the lower grades had also their culmination program activity in their MAPEH Subject.
It was one beautiful afternoon when students showcased their talents in dancing for their MAPEH class at the different year levels.
First to showcase their wonderful talents was the Grade 7 class which will show a festival dance. They were grouped into 5 groups.
Seeing every group presentation, you will notice the effort and the preparation of the students. Each group has also its festival queen who also made extravagant efforts in their worn dress. Gladly, parents were very much supportive of school activities like this.
As I was taking a look at their costumes, some of them were just making do-it-yourself costumes made of paper plates and some from drinking straws. Every group was making extra efforts to get better performance.
Another performer is the Grade 8 students who performed folk dances. They were also in groups and every group had their costumes prepared.
Efforts were also made by the students. They wore colorful cloth and "malong" that somehow showed creativity in their costumes. Some use sticks as props for their dance presentation.
Next to perform is Grade 10. As to the performances, this level will not make you bored for they will perform a cheer dance presentation.
Every group has its unique way of showcasing their talents. They wore costumes for cheer dancers. Not all the groups were in uniforms for they also had a tight budget but they're doing every best they could do.
Looking at their performances, all the efforts were made. There were groups who lye down on the ground just to make their best performance.
The most awaited part of the culmination program is the Senior High School Students where they were tasked to present recyclable outputs and trousers as their finished product for their Tailoring class.
Early in the morning, students were very much noisy inside the classroom and I am wondering what they were doing. And so I look into them.
Tailoring students preparing for their fashion show on stage
I was amazed by how they looked. Out of recycled materials, they were making a dress or other materials to showcase their talents in sewing.
They were so talented seeing their outputs. Some were made of paper like magazines or newspapers while other students also made dresses made of plastic or a sack of feeds.
Another wonderful creation made of plastics and sacks of feeds
Seeing their performances on stage is an excellent one. They were very eager to showcase their worn dress and impress the judges.
After giving a shot of their recycled dress, they were also tasked to have a fashion show of their personally made blouse and trousers.
Looking at their finished outputs, I am so much amazed and got teary-eyed for the efforts they showed in sewing paid off. Some are hesitant about the subject but still, they made to finish everything before they exit. Salute to their Tailoring teacher who passionately teach these young students in sewing! What a wonderful showcasing of skills.
As one of their teachers, seeing them grow into young men and women is an achievement already. They were not the young ones who just used to play outside the ground. They were trying to put a great impression on their teachers.
Because of this, I realized how fulfilling the life of a teacher is to see your students show off their creativity and talents. Indeed, teaching is a noble profession.
That's all for today Hive friends.
Have a nice day everyone!
