Student life is simply incomplete without the Christmas celebration. In December 16, 2022 we have celebrated the Christmas with a theme "A December to Remember, A Christmas Wonderland." Despite loads of academic activities, I didn't expect we can still celebrate Christmas after all. It should never be missing in a student's life, we should have time to spend and bond with our friends including with our teachers. Even with my busy life, I didn't skip attending this event in our school because it really means a lot to me. The semester is about to end so I might as well enjoy the Christmas program because after this, we're going to have our final exams as scheduled.
I captured these photos beneath the gym. I seated above where the entire event can be seen inside the gym. The Information Technology department won from the caroling contest. The Education department is also creative and they have delivered excellent performance. Overall, the competition is fair and there are no biases. Everyone exerted effort and they gave the best that they could showcase to the crowd. My classmates are mad about the fact that our department didn't win while I do not feel any unfairness from that competition. If I would be the judge, the Information Technology would be the top of my list even if I were an Education student. I don't understand why they are pushing that Education Department is the winner, I know they are supportive but if I would rate the overall performance, it is the IT that shines the most.
At 5 pm, we have to wait for the official Christmas lighting countdown special. So to make used of the free time we have in the school, we captured a lot of photos together as part of our memories one day. We may not be classmates on the next semester or we won't see each other 10 years from now but at least we have photos together. Honestly, I did not expect to become close with my college classmate as the pandemic made me really introverted but then there are instances where we really have to be sociable in college. Due to that, I am not introverted to talk to anyone anymore.
At exactly 8 pm, the foam disco party started and entire plaza was filled with bombarding music from those DJs hired by our school. I am not a party girl but this event in our school made me feel like a party girl for the time being. The lights are also impressive, it feels like you are attending a concert. I thought I would be suffocated due to the crowded people but after I go on with the party music, I don't feel any suffocation anymore.
Before I end the blog, I want to share the club organization I joined with. I am a member of the school publication called "The Squibbler" and my position there is editorial writer. We have a showcase of clubs during the Christmas event and we showcase our published articles. We also have face booth, a confession wall, a shout-out message and even a "tell-your-secret" message!
It is a wonderful celebration that's full of memorable photos. I can say that 2022 is indeed a great year because it is really opposite from last year. I feel the spirit of Christmas coming back to life, and not only that, we are not only celebrating Christmas virtually we can celebrate it with our friends, family and colleagues and anyone.
I know all of you have a lot to share, so drop your Christmas party celebration here in the comment sections and I will be glad to read them all. Merry Christmas everyone!❄️
