Something caught my attention as I was walking my dog outside our house. It is our beautiful orchid plants that produce plenty of flowers for us to look at. A treat for the eyes.
As I continued walking my dog, I realized that it did not bear any flowers for so long. As far as my memory can remember, only one of our orchids produced some flowers when it first came to us.
The plants were placed along with our fortune plants that served as our fence, the towering plants made the place quite dark resulting in the orchids not having a sufficient amount of sunlight. It hindered their growth. Some wilted and some did not have room to grow.
And then one day, my father decided to cut some of the fortune trees and the result was it gave space for the orchids to gain enough sunlight to grow.
What I realize now is that one cannot grow in an environment where it hinders one from growing. When it doesn't have access to its needs. And also, one cannot grow in a dark place. Why? Because it doesn't have access to light for someone to look at the outside world and see opportunities.
The orchid plant may not have been able to bear flowers for such a long time, but now it is making the most out of its growth and development to flourish and give out what it can offer.
To end this, I'd like to tell you guys, especially if you are feeling pressure, do not rush yourself. There is always the right time to flourish. Find the right place where you can bloom because maybe where you are right now is a place where it hinders your growth as an individual. Cheer up!
