I had been creating content for quite a while and for some of you guys who had been monitoring my progress as a content creator I am excited to share that I already reached 200 plays on my Podcast!
As a small content creator, this is a huge number already given that the content that I share on this podcast is just some random shenanigans. The concept is the same on my blog or rather my blog post will be repurposed and be converted into audio format. I myself never imagined that I will reach that 200 plays mark as I always feel that what I did is not enough.
If you had listened to one of the episodes you will notice a lot of errors there but still, I posted it because who cares right? My content my rules.
Kidding aside being a part-time podcaster helped me in a way to channel some of the energies that I wasn't able to manifest in my blog. Imagine reading this post in a monotonous tone but for me, I am already in high pitch sharing my excitement that I was able to break that spot.
So what's the plan now?
Getting 200 plays is good but I am aiming to achieve at the very least 1,000.00 plays before the year ends. I am not that active in marketing my craft yet and I think few of my friends know that I am doing this stuff. I still cringe each time that I hear my voice on the other line especially if my voice breaks in the middle of the discussion.
To achieve the goal of 1,000 plays I will try to commit to constantly uploading every week. When I checked my stats it shows that my listeners usually tune in to my works on Monday and Tuesday so I decided to publish every Monday morning to make sure that I will be able to still provide content to them when they are available.
Aside from that, I need to further clean the recording as there are instances wherein either the dogs, chicken, cats, or my daughter will be heard in the background. Though it is just a passion project for now, who knows maybe I will make it big in the future? Dream on right? We can all dream and while working on it try my best to achieve it.
Invite people to guest in the show this is something that I had been pondering. Since the podcast is shared with multiple service providers outside Hive I am torn between inviting a content creator in Hive vs the one outside the blockchain. I already listed down some of the folks that I want to interview if ever but still thinking if I should do it or not.
Maybe you can help me decide? Should I interview non-hivers or just focus on Hivers on the show? Maybe a mix? To be honest I am not that sold on the idea yet.
Lastly is response and call to action, what I have noticed on that 200 plays is I do some random topics that were posted first in Hive. Now I am thinking of answering some questions or maybe an interactive podcast ( not sure about that still).
Monetization isn't that much of a concern, for now, I am happy with how everything is progressing and with Hive so I am not that pushing on that part. Maybe in the future, I will decide on that if I have multiple followings on the channel.
If you had managed to reach the end of this message thank you for your time. I know I am just speaking my mind right now on this post so pardon the unclarity of the message that I want to portray right now.
I will be back tomorrow with the regular program but for now, let me savor this moment.
You can always listen to my works on Anchor.fm or you can do a quick google search Pod Spam : Spamming the Blockchain one Episode at a time and you will see a ton of results to different medias such as Spotify, Apple Podcast and many more.
