Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I try to find something comforting and grounding. Recently, my coping mechanism has simply been watching podcasts—something light, helpful, and calming enough that it doesn’t drain me further.
Today, I watched a podcast episode called “5 Money Hacks in your 20s that can shape your 30s (Adulting 101)” by Joyce Pring. You can see it in the photo I took—playing on my laptop while I try to rest and get myself together.
What I really loved about this episode is how practical and relatable her advice is, especially for young adults who are still figuring out life (like me).
My Favorite Hack: The 24-Hour Rule
Out of all the money hacks she shared, the one that hit me the most was this:
👉 Before buying anything—especially wants—sit with it for 24 hours.
If after a whole day you still feel the urge to buy it, then go ahead. But if not, it means it was just an impulse.
I swear, this simple hack feels life-changing. It makes me more mindful, helps me save money, and prevents those “why did I even buy this?” moments.
I’m still recovering and taking things slow, but creating this small post feels like a step toward feeling more like myself again. If you’re also going through something, remember to rest and take care of yourself too. 💛
