After getting married, we spent some time in my village, and then it was time to visit my wife's family. Since my wife's family lives in Ordu, we had to take a very long bus ride. Unfortunately, not every city in Turkey has an airport. Today, I'll share this adventure with you.

We took a bus ride of about 16 hours to Ordu. Before that, we had taken another bus ride to Konya, which you read about in the previous post, but at least we had a chance to rest there. After a few hours' break, the journey to Ordu began. The only thing I can share with you about our trip to Ordu is this photo I took as the sun was rising. I should be sleeping at this hour, but I just can't sleep on bus or plane trips. I don't know why. Even on very long journeys, I can't sleep through the entire night. During the 16-hour journey, I could only sleep for about 4-5 hours.

Overall, the time we spent together was very nice. I worked during the day, and my wife occasionally brought me snacks. In the evenings, we would go sit by the shore. We would watch the lights of the city on the opposite shore and the sunset. We would chat during this time. Unfortunately, my wife's father hardly had any vacation time. He was always working. We only got to spend one day together.

The beach was usually crowded. People would sometimes barbecue there, sometimes bring chairs and sit. Some went running, others sat right at the water's edge with their feet in the water. We were there in late August, and it was extremely hot, so I consider this normal.

According to my wife's sister, there are short boat tours from one shore to the other. I actually considered joining one, but they convinced me it was too expensive. The boat lights looked very appealing XD I couldn't take a clear photo because it was moving, but you get the idea.

I can't talk about the time I spent there without mentioning Pamuk. I had just started spending time with her for the first time back then, but since she didn't know me yet, she acted really strangely. Doesn't she look so cute in this photo?

This photo was taken by me just a minute later. Do you see how she's furrowing her brows? It's like she's really annoyed about something. Maybe she's annoyed that I took her photo?

When I was working, her favorite spot was on top of this pile of blankets and mattresses. Especially when my wife and her sister weren't home, she wouldn't leave that spot because, as I said, she didn't know me. So I can't blame her.

When I took this photo, I didn't know what this movement meant, but it means that she sees you as prey and that these are the last seconds before she pounces on you. So it's best not to get too close. See how her eyes have narrowed and sharpened? I'm very lucky she didn't hunt me down XD If she had pounced on me back then, I probably would have been scared.

Evlendikten sonra benim köyümde zaman geçirdik ve sıra eşimin ailesine geldi. Eşimin ailesi Ordu'da yaşadığı için çok uzun bir otobüs yolculuğu yapmak zorunda kaldık. Maalesef Türkiye'de her şehirde havaalanı yok. Bugün sizinle bu macerayı paylaşacağım.

Ordu'ya yaklaşık 16 saatlik bir otobüs yolculuğu yaptık. Ondan öncesinde bir önceki gönderide okuduğunuz Konya'ya başka bir otobüs yolculuğu yapmıştık ama en azından orada dinlenme şansımız vardı. Birkaç saatlik bir moladan sonra Ordu yolculuğu başladı. Ordu yolcuğumuza dair sizinle paylaşabileceğim tek şey güneş doğarken çektiğim bu fotoğraf. Bu saatlerde uyuyor olmam gerekiyor ama otobüs yolculuklarında ya da uçak yolculuklarında bir türlü uyuyamıyorum. Bunun sebebi ne bilmiyorum. Çok uzun yolculuklarda bile gecenin tamamını uyuyarak geçiremiyorum. 16 saatlik yolculuğun sadece 4-5 saatinde uyuyabildim.

Genel olarak geçirdiğimiz zaman çok güzeldi. Gündüzleri çalışıyordum ve eşim ara sıra bana atıştırmalıklar getiriyordu. Akşam üzeri de sahil kenarına oturmaya gidiyorduk. Karşı kıyıdaki şehrin ışıklarını ve günbatımını izliyorduk. Bu esnada da sohbet ediyorduk. Maalesef eşimin babasının neredeyse hiç tatili olmadı. Sürekli çalışıyordu. Sadece bir gün birlikte zaman geçirebildik.

Sahil genelde kalabalık oluyordu. İnsanlar orada bazen mangal yapıyor, bazen de sandalyelerini alıp oturuyordu. Koşuya çıkanlar da vardı, denizin tam kenarına oturup ayaklarını suya sokanlar da. Ağustos ayının sonlarında oradaydık ve aşırı sıcaktı bu yüzden bunu normal karşılıyorum.

Eşimin kardeşinin dediğine göre bir kıyıdan diğerine kısa tekne turları düzenleniyormuş. Aslında onlardan birine katılmayı da düşündüm ama beni bunun çok pahalı olduğuna ikna ettiler. Tekne ışıkları çok cezbedici görünüyordu XD Hareket halinde olduğu için net bir fotoğraf çekemedim ama siz ne demek istediğimi görüyorsunuzdur.

Orada geçirdiğim zamandan bahsederken Pamuk'tan bahsetmezsem olmaz. O günlerde ilk defa onunla zaman geçirmeye başlamıştım ama beni henüz tanımadığı için çok garip hareketleri vardı. Bu fotoğrafta çok tatlı görünüyor değil mi?

Bu fotoğraf benim tarafımdan sadece bir dakika sonra çekildi. Kaşlarını nasıl çattığını görüyor musunuz? Sanki bir şeye aşırı sinirlenmiş gibi. Fotoğrafını çekmeme sinirlenmiş olabilir mi?

Ben çalışırken en sevdiği yer yorganların ve döşeklerin olduğu bu yığının üstüydü. Özellikle eşim ve kardeşi evde olmadığı zaman oradan hiç ayrılmıyordu çünkü dediğim gibi beni tanımıyordu. Bu yüzden ona kızamam.

Bu fotoğrafı çektiğim günlerde bu hareketin ne anlama geldiğini bilmiyordum ama bu sizi bir av olarak gördüğü ve üzerinize atlamadan önceki son saniyeler olduğu anlamına geliyor. Yani çok yaklaşmasanız iyi olur. Gözleri nasıl da küçülmüş ve incelmiş görüyor musunuz? Beni avlamadığı için çok şanslıyım XD O günlerde üstüme atlasa muhtemelen korkardım.
