Okay, normally I don't care too much for Saint Patrick's Day... Or for any other saint, for that matter. Also, I am not Irish, and my only brief visit to Ireland had been an experience of mixed feelings. Anyway... Today however, (is this day almost gone? Being here on the Pacific coast of the American continent, I guess it almost is) I still want to publish a St. Paddy's Day's Greeting, simply because of a cool image I got to capture yesterday.
It is a green bicycle! White bikes I am quite familiar with. They usually are placed as a memorial site where a cyclist has become an unfortunate victim of a traffic accident. But green bikes I am less familiar with.
I saw this neat bike sculpture in the town of Valley of Enchantment, next to Crestline, in the vicinity of San Bernadino, California. I guess the message is simply that: enjoy your St. Patrick's day, drink your green ale, pinch your leprechauns, and if you've had too many Guinnesses, ride your bike back home (if you still can maintain your balance). Otherwise walk, or something. In either case, don't even think about starting up you motor vehicles. There may be a drunk leprechaun riding on their green bike, and you don't want to run them over!
Y'all be safe tonite!
