Lastly, I came across a perspective on chat which I call "meme negging", a form of content elitism, that suggests memes are necessarily low effort content. What I find ironic is when the certain automated voters expect some uniform modicum of effort which is unreasonable and stifles the social aspect of our chain and sharing.

Maybe I am away from my computer, visiting family, and a funny idea dawns upon me that I want to share quickly to make others laugh. Here's an example of that.
A simple email and I got an idea for a funny. The content elitists may frown but, if you have a functioning sense of humor, think you know what's up. Animated memes particularly are of value to me. It's a form of visual story telling and shouldn't be shunned or negged on. Be cool people.
Not everybody's post needs to be a Picasso or comment a novel.
