Se trata del Sada Cruzeiro, el mismo que conquistara, no hace muchos años, un título similar, y donde militara, hasta la temporada pasada, el capitán del equipo Cuba, Miguel Ángel López. De hecho, este club tiene varios títulos intercontinentales, y es también de los clubes más exitosos en Latinoamérica, a pesar de su relativa corta existencia.

En la discusión por el bronce en este Mundial de clubes, otro equipo italiano, La Lube, quedó en el camino, pues desde Asia, un club iraní se encargó de sentenciar el partido, comandado de esta forma la segunda sorpresa del torneo. Se puede decir entonces que es un hecho inédito, que ambos equipos pertenecientes a la llamada mejor liga no pudieran vencer en sus compromisos finales.
Pero volvamos con el Sada. Tremenda la actuación de estos chicos, que aun con la salida de una figura importante dentro de la plantilla el pasado año, pudieron arrebatar la supremacía del viejo continente en este tipo de torneos, logrando adaptarse bien rápido a estas ausencias.

Pues felicidades a todo ese grupo, que aunque no hablen español, también son orgullo de esta parte del continente americano, que comprende desde el Río Bravo hasta la Patagonia. Ojalá que sigan alcanzando títulos, y que otros equipos de nuestra área también se puedan incorporar en la batalla por el dominio mundial a nivel de clubes.
