Muchos pensaron que el Manchester City ganaría con holgura la final de la Uefa Champions League, ¡pero qué difícil la tuvieron! El Inter de Inzaghi callo muchas bocas con su desempeño en este tremendo partido, particularmente me ha parecido una de las finales más emocionantes que he visto de Champions, claro está que hay otras que son muy difíciles bajarlas del podio como por ejemplo la remontada del United ante el Bayern en el 99 y la remontada del Liverpool contra el Milan en 2005, pero esta indudablemente ha sido una final digna del espectáculo que conlleva jugar el último partido de tan magno evento.
Que ganara el City o ganara el Inter no haría diferencia en el disfrute del partido, quizás para los tifosi de cada equipo si obviamente, pero para quienes amamos el futbol solo nos queda aplaudir porque ambos equipos lo hicieron sumamente bien en la cancha. Guardiola fiel a su estilo planteo un juego como se esperaba, manteniendo la posesión e intentando abrir el juego por las bandas, sin embargo no fue tan efectivo ya que el Inter supo doblegar esa forma de jugar de los ciudadanos. ¿Quiere decir esto que el City jugo mal? De ninguna manera, y aquí quiero enfatizar como la parcialidad daña cualquier entorno, es increíble como un comentarista de ESPN luego de acabar el partido indicaba que el City había jugado mal desmeritando así el planteamiento del equipo italiano, a veces me pregunto cómo personas profesionales pueden expresar opiniones tan fuera de lugar a nivel internacional.
Inzaghi dio una clase de futbol defensivo y ofensivo, su esquema táctico fue perfecto durante todo el juego por lo que su equipo hizo un partido para quedar campeón, desafortunadamente fallaron los goles cuando tuvieron la oportunidad de anotar, en la primera mitad Barella desde casi la mitad de la cancha disparaba a arco vacío luego del error de Ederson pero su tiro se fue muy desviado, en la repetición se puede ver como no tenía firme el pie de apoyo al momento de patear el balón, quizás por la premura de la jugada no aprovecho la oportunidad, luego en la segunda mitad Lautaro tenía una chance pero a mi juicio decidió mal, en vez de pasar el balón a Lukaku prefirió disparar al arco sin ángulo, Ederson detuvo el disparo y allí se perdió esa jugada.
Many thought that Manchester City would win the final of the Uefa Champions League, but how difficult they had it! Inzaghi's Inter silenced many mouths with their performance in this tremendous match, I particularly found it one of the most exciting Champions League finals I have seen, of course there are others that are very difficult to take off the podium such as United's comeback against Bayern in 99 and Liverpool's comeback against Milan in 2005, but this was undoubtedly a final worthy of the spectacle that comes with playing the last match of such a great event.
Whether City or Inter won would make no difference to the enjoyment of the match, perhaps for the tifosi of each team it obviously did, but for those of us who love soccer we can only applaud because both teams did extremely well on the pitch. Guardiola, true to his style, played the game as expected, keeping possession and trying to open up the game on the wings, but it was not as effective as Inter knew how to break down that way of playing of the citizens. Does this mean that City played badly? No way, and here I want to emphasize how bias damages any environment, it is incredible how an ESPN commentator after the match indicated that City had played poorly thus detracting from the Italian team's approach, sometimes I wonder how professional people can express such out of place opinions at international level.
Inzaghi gave a class of defensive and offensive soccer, his tactical scheme was perfect throughout the game so his team played a match to become champions, unfortunately they missed the goals when they had the chance to score, in the first half Barella from almost the middle of the field shot at an empty goal after Ederson's mistake but his shot went wide, In the replay you can see how he didn't have a firm foot at the moment of kicking the ball, maybe because of the haste of the play he didn't take advantage of the opportunity, then in the second half Lautaro had a chance but in my opinion he decided wrong, instead of passing the ball to Lukaku he preferred to shoot at the goal without angle, Ederson stopped the shot and that's where that play was lost.
¿Estaba la suerte echada? No lo sabría decir pero hay veces que suceden cosas increíbles en un partido en beneficio de uno de los dos equipos, esto lo digo por varias razones, el gol del City fue una cosa bastante desafortunada para el Inter, luego de un mal despeje o rebote le quedo el balón a Rodrigo quien disparo y anoto, lo asombroso de todo fue por donde paso el balón, me atrevería a decir que quiso colocarla allí pero definitivamente no lo creo, simplemente disparo y el balón entro por el único lugar posible, luego de eso lo que se perdió Lukaku para morirse, ¿Cuándo Lukaku falla este tipo de goles? JAMAS!! Es un delantero con mucha definición, pero esta vez con el arco prácticamente vacío se la estrello a Ederson en la piernas, allí no hubieron reflejos del arquero ni nada, el balón le pego y listo, cero méritos en esa jugada, pero la fortuna era celeste, y contando que antes de esa jugada Di Marco la estrellaba en el palo y luego Lukaku le entorpecía su segundo remate a menos de 5 metros del arco con Ederson en el suelo, cosas del futbol sin más que decir.
El Inter demostró que no llego a la final por suerte como muchos quisieron hacerlo ver, es un equipo que puede ganar la Champions, definitivamente espero que Inzaghi continúe tras el timón neroazurro porque realmente ha hecho un excelente trabajo, hay personas que desean que Antonio Conte vuelva a dirigirlos pero Conte no es bueno en Europa, eso está más que demostrado, en cambio Simone es un duro, un entrenador que sabe jugar y ganar finales, en Italia ha obtenido varias copas y estuvo sumamente cerca de ganar la Champions, cambiarlo sería un retroceso para mí y mucho más cuando el equipo muestra tanta solidez en todas sus líneas.
Onana, Barella y Di Marco lo mejor del Inter en la final, es la primera vez que veo un arquero con tan buena salida, eso me impresiono realmente, Barella un todo terreno y Di Marco pura calidad, al día de hoy es uno de los mejores carrileros que existen, tiene una sobriedad bastante admirable, su forma de jugar anulo completamente a Bruno Silva, el español poco pudo hacer durante todo el partido, eso fue clave para que esa banda fuera neroazurra y no celeste. En conclusión el Inter puede estar con la cabeza muy alta a pesar de haber perdido, felicitaciones al City por la victoria y el triplete pero como buen hincha del futbol italiano me quedo con el desempeño colectivo realizado por el Inter en la final, admirable hasta el último minuto.

Inter showed that they did not reach the final by luck as many wanted to make it look, they are a team that can win the Champions League, I definitely hope that Inzaghi continues at the helm because he has really done an excellent job, there are people who want Antonio Conte to return to lead them but Conte is not good in Europe, that is more than proven, instead Simone is a tough, a coach who knows how to play and win finals, in Italy he has won several cups and was extremely close to winning the Champions League, to change him would be a setback for me and much more when the team shows so much solidity in all its lines.
