Si, es otro de los peloteros esos que se encienden con la entrada del calor del verano y su historial demuestra arranques lentos. No obstante, él se las arregla para contribuir al equipo desde donde pueda y ayer fue un ejemplo de lo asegurado acá. Los Astros recibieron de visita a los Marineros de Seattle en el Daikin Park de Houston. Ambos equipos han tenido dificultades para responder a los pergaminos que les antecedían para confrontar el largo calendario. A los navegantes les ha ido un poco mejor y están en el 3er. lugar de su división a 2 juegos de los líderes Atléticos (quienes ya comienzan a desmoronarse), mientras que el hospital sideral lucha desde el 4to. lugar de la misma división a 6 partidos de la vanguardia. Both squads have struggled to live up to their preseason hype over this long marathon of a season. The M's have fared a bit better, sitting in third place in the division, just two games back of the leading A's (who are already starting to collapse). Meanwhile, the injury-riddled Astros are fighting from fourth place, trailing the division leaders by six games. With things as they stand, yesterday's matchup was crucial for their respective postseason aspirations, given that they are direct division rivals. José understood the assignment, and his performance showed it.

Lo concedemos, el tiempo le ha pegado al "pequeño gigante", por ello no podemos esperar sino destellos de antaño. Jugó para ayudar como podía y lo consiguió. En el cierre del sexto episodio luchó un turno con las garras, tenía las bases llenas ante sí mismo y no dejó que el lanzador lo venciera ¿resultado? Un boleto impulsor de carrera. Con ese turno, logró empatar el partido a 2 por lado. Luego, en el cierre del octavo, largó un profundo fly de sacrificio, impulsor de la carrera para dar una ventaja 3-2 que los siderales no desperdiciarían en el resto del partido.
