Ya estamos a muy pocas semanas de finalizar el campeonato de la Copa NASCAR, una temporada que ha estado llena de diversas emociones con resultados sorpresivos y espero que estas últimas carreras sean aún mejor. Este domingo 16 de Octubre del presente año se estará llevando a cabo lo que es la primera carrera de la ronda de 8 de la categoría en el óvalo de las Vegas Motor Speedway. Este evento lleva por nombre South Point 400 y veremos quien se lleva este evento en la ciudad que nunca duerme en el estado de Nevada. Como todas saben esta ciudad es muy famosa por sus grandes hoteles y los casinos que poseen, así que siempre se le suele dar una promoción, lo cual se espera que sea un gran fin de semana en lo que al espectáculo y carrera se refiere. ¿Quién se llevará la Victoria en Las Vegas?, ¿Será uno de los contendientes? ¿Cuáles serán los que avanzaran a la ronda final de 4, donde sabremos quién será el campeón de la máxima categoría de NASCAR en el óvalo de Phoenix.

El favorito de todos es Elliott ya que es el mayor ganador de la temporada con 5 victorias, al igual que lideras las estadísticas tanto en top 5 y top 10 con 12 y 19 respectivamente en la cada una de estas categoría. También es quien ha liderado más vuelta con 803 y el mejor promedio de 32 carreras finalizadas de 36 que ya se han desarrollado. Como no posicionar lo como el primero con opciones reales al título. Christopher Bell la verdad es que está teniendo una temporada excepcional y si no si no logra pasar creo que de igual manera debe quedar satisfecho, aunque sabemos lo competitivo que son estos pilotos y siempre darán el todo por el todo por lograr el objetivo que es el título de piloto y propietarios. Bell marca como segundo en ganes en la temporada con 2, lo mismo pasa en tops 5 y 10 quien ha logrado uno menos en ambos categorías en comparación a Chase y es el que más pole ha logrado en la temporada 4, así que es el más rápido a una vuelta. En mi opinión Bell es la revelación de la temporada ya que está por encima de pilotos como Hamlin, Kyle Busch y Martin Truex Jr, quienes tienen una mayor experiencia que él.

La verdad es que es incierto, pero Chase Elliott me parece que se va a quedar con la victoria y de esta manera avanza a la final. Bell es otro de los pilotos que viene haciendo las cosas bien en estos playoffs y temporada en general, así que también está entre los candidatos. La práctica libre antes de la carrera y la clasificación se efectuara el sábado 15 de Octubre a las 12:05pm tiempo de este de los estados unidos, donde aproximadamente serán 45 minutos de entrenamientos para que los equipos pongan sus autos a puntos. La clasificación como es habitual es el mismo sábado luego de la práctica, por lo cual la hora de inicio es a las 12:50pm, con dos rondas iniciales donde en cada una de ellas participa la mitad de los inscritos y los mejores 5 tiempos de cada una avanzan a una ronda final. En ambos rondas es a un solo giro y los autos solos en la pista en cada una de sus vueltas. La carrera es el domingo 16 de Octubre como les dije en el inicio del post, 2:30pm donde 167 son los giros que deben dar los pilotos, divididos en tres segmento, el primero a 80 vueltas, el segundo a 85 y el tercero en el cual sabremos el ganador de la competencia a 102. La estrategia se espera que sea minino a 4 paradas, pero siempre pueden ser más por las banderas amarillas o algunos inconvenientes que se pueden dar en la carrera.
Free practice before the race and qualifying will take place on Saturday, October 15 at 12:05pm US Eastern Time, where there will be approximately 45 minutes of practice for the teams to put their cars in points.
