Piloto de la marca Ducati Oficial, Pecco Bagnaia, actual campeón del campeonato mundial de MotoGP, dio un gran paso adelante en el pasado gran premio de Catar. Con tan solo una carrera restante, Pecco le saca una ventaja de 21 puntos a Jorge Martin, con solo 37 puntos en juego. Para sumar todos los puntos, los pilotos deben buscar ganar la carrera sprint del sábado y la principal del domingo, donde estas otorgan 12 y 25 puntos respectivamente. Para que Francesco Bagnaia pierda el campeonato, tendría que ocurrir una catástrofe para el piloto italiano, algo que veo muy probable, pero las carreras hay que correrlas y cualquier cosa puede suceder.
El fin de semana de Pecco se pensaba que sería oscuro, un mal fin de semana, pero como era de esperarse también, sacó la casta de piloto con experiencia en estas circunstancias de estar peleando un campeonato, recordar que es el vigente campeón del año 2022. Para entrar un poco en contexto, es importante ver como se desarrolló cada una de las sesiones del fin de semana, incluyendo prácticas, clasificación y carreras, sobre todo las actuaciones de los contendientes al título, Pecco y Martin. En el primer entrenamiento libre, Jorge Martin ocupó la primera posición, con más de una décima y media con el segundo lugar de su compañero de equipo en la Prima Pramac Racing, el francés Johann Zarco. Por otro lado, Pecco fue tercero a más de dos décimas. Una primera práctica donde se mostró un trabajo por conseguir la mejor puesta a punto para el coche, más tomando en cuenta lo importante que es la degradación de los neumáticos, la duración de los mismos para poder completar la carrera con tiempos de vueltas competitivos.
Las primeras posiciones de la PR, una de las tres prácticas que se dan cada fin de semanas, fueron ocupadas por pilotos que no están acostumbrados a estas posiciones, tal es el caso de Raul Fernandez, piloto del equipo satélite CryptoDATA RNF, seguido por Fabio Di Giannantonio y Maverick Viñales de Aprilia Racing. Jorge Martin y Bagnaia ocuparon la séptima y octava posición respectivamente, muy cerca uno del otro como en la FP1. Ambos a más de cuatro décima, no se mostraron competitivos, pero sabemos que estos no quieren mostrar su potencia, sino que quiere obtener el mejor balance para su moto, que les permita ser rápidos pero a la vez cuidar sus llantas. Uno de los problemas que ha afectado a la mayoría de los pilotos este año, al no ser constantes, es el desgaste excesivo de los neumáticos, uno situación que los equipos deben trabajar en las prácticas y con el uso de la telemetría.

Marini superó a Di Giannantonio por tan solo 67 milésimas. En la tercera posición quedó Alex Márquez. De los contendientes, el mejor posicionado fue Pecco Bagnaia en la cuarta posición, seguido muy de cerca por su rival al título, Jorge Martin en la quinta posición. Catar es un circuito que da carrera de motociclismo muy emocionantes, con buenas luchas, contrario a lo que vimos en F1, un circuito de Lusail bastante criticado, pero al menos en la categoría reina, MotoGP si vemos carrera demás de entretenidas.
Como les había dicho, esta temporada siento que todo es impredecible, un piloto no puede ser rápido en los entrenamientos y en la clasificación sacan su potencia, lo mismo en las carreras, aunque también se puede dar que una carrera sea mala y la siguiente buena o un fin de semana perfecto. Por un lado pienso que esta temporada ha sido realmente emocionante, pero también siento que falta algo, Marc Márquez es el piloto referencia de la categoría, pero vive más en el suelo, todo porque no cuenta con una buena moto, porque a pesar de no ser su fanático, se la calidad de piloto que es. La carrera sprint fue ganada por Jorge Martin, un piloto que terminó muy contento la carrera y su principal rival del título fue todo lo contrario, terminó la carrera muy frustrado al solo poder terminar en la quinta posición y perdiendo puntos importante con Martin.

La mala carrera la tuvo Jorge Martin quien terminó apenas décimo a más de catorce segundo del ganador, Fabio Di Giannantonio, piloto del equipo Gresini Racing MotoGP™, donde si mal no recuerdo el año que viene estará el 8 veces campeón Marc Márquez, junto a su hermano Alex. Por otro lado Pecco Bagnaia tuvo una gran carrera, quedando en la segunda posición, que si bien quedó a más de dos segundo del ganador, pero esto se puede deber a que estaba controlando su carrera, más sabiendo el resultado que estaba teniendo Martin. El domingo la decepción le toco al español de Prima Pramac Racing.
Siento que el fin de semana fue bastante extraño, los contendientes tuvieron una carrera mala un día y la otra fue casi perfecta, lo cual ha ocasionado que se den varias especulaciones sobre si Ducati está interviniendo en el campeonato. Ciertamente es algo que se puede dar, también me parece bastante raro que el sábado Martin gané la carrera y el domingo apenas pueda ser décimo. Sabemos que la carrera corta tiene solo la mitad de las vueltas del evento principal, algo que puedo afectar y la puesta a punto de Martin era para dar menos vueltas con vueltas rápidas. Otro motivo puede ser una llanta defectuosa, algo que se ha dado en el pasado. Lo cierto es que Pecco dio un paso para conseguir su bi campeonato de manera consecutiva en el campeonato mundial de MotoGP, aunque sabemos que Jorge Martin no se dará por vencido y buscará un fin de semana perfecto en la circuito de la Comunidad Valenciana entre el 24 y 26 de Noviembre, es decir, esta misma semana tendremos la definición de este campeonato 2023.
