El pasado fin de semana se llevaron a cabo tres carreras importantes del deporte motor. El domingo la categoría reina, la F1 corría en el circuito de Montreal, Canadá, conocido con el nombre del mítico piloto local Gilles Villeneuve. Una carrera en la cual la mayoría de los equipos traían grandes novedades en sus autos, para mejorar el rendimiento y por ende su situación en actual campeonato. El fin de semana comenzó con la Práctica 1, pero el bochorno comenzó con esta se debió cancelar tras el fallo en las cámaras de seguridad, una situación que no debió pasar. La segunda práctica libre se debió extender media hora más, es decir, tendría una duración de una hora y media, comenzando media hora tarde. Los equipos debían aprovechar la mayor cantidad de tiempo posible. Algunos pilotos probaron tanda de carrera y otros probando vueltas rápidas para el final, mientras que otros hicieron lo contrario. Alonso mantuvo un gran ritmo, incluso por momentos mejor que Verstappen, pero el holandés supo gestionar la carrera, nunca estuvo en riesgo su posición. La carrera del Gran premio de Canadá fue muy aburrida la verdad, me esperaba mucho más y más tomando en cuenta la mejora que traían los equipos. Alonso gran carrera, junto a Hamilton fueron los que le dieron entretenimiento a esta competencia, pero por lo demás fue una carrera de trencitos, es decir, muchos autos cerca pero con muy pocos adelantamientos.
