I did expect Chelsea to win, after all they are PL leaders and Juventus is having serious problems in Italian Calcio, but I didn't expect it to be so easy. But don't let the score fool you, yes the second half was completely Chelsea and Juventus were wiped out, but there were two defining moments.
First of all Chelsea's first goal, again we have this different criteria from referees, the handball existed, probably another referee could have invalidated the goal, lucky for Chelsea this one didn't. I am not arguing if it was or it wasn't, but I have seen very similar handballs cause a goal to be disallowed.
The second one was Thiago Silva's save, a magnificent example of grit and determination by Silva, if that ball had gone in we would have had a very different second half, but that save was incredible.
Now I hear some Juventus apologists say they didn't give it all because they knew themselves qualified, BS, they tried, it just wasn't their afternoon and Chelsea were too good for them.
