El Barcelona obtuvo una victoria importante ante el Valencia a segunda hora para ponerle toda la presión encima al Real Madrid. Los de Ancelotti tenían la dura tarea de visitar el Benito Villamarín y sacar obligatoriamente los 3 puntos para seguir soñando con el campeonato liguero. El encuentro terminaría en un empate sin goles por parte de ambos conjuntos, en el cual para mí, se terminó por decantar el futuro de la Liga en favor del cuadro Blaugrana. Con esta igualdad los merengues quedan a 9 puntos, diferencia que nunca en la historia se ha podido revertir.

El Barcelona les ganó aprovechando una ocasión clara para luego atrincherarse en campo propio y poner al Madrid incómodo a la hora de progresar de cara al gol. Hoy fue un partido mucho más abierto, el Betis es un conjunto que va a proponer de igual a igual sea el rival que sea, y todo eso sumado al apoyo de su gente, que junto con el Sevilla deben ser las aficiones que más alienta en España, daban a éste partido un condimento especial.
El primer tiempo fue muy parejo y a pesar de que faltaron las ocasiones, se jugó a un muy buen ritmo por parte de ambos conjuntos. La combinación entre Guido y Carvalho le dió muchos problemas al Real Madrid ya que jugaban con total soltura en el medio sin que ningún jugador blanco los presionara. Borja Iglesias se fajó con Rudiger y Militao para incomodarlos y lograr bajarle el balón a sus compañeros. Las combinaciones entre Benzema y Rodrygo fue de las pocas cosas rescatables de la primera mitad por parte de los de Chamartín.
El complemento pasó a ser más dominio blanco que del Betis. La más clara que tuvieron los locales fue en los pies de su delantero, Borja Iglesias tras un grave error en salida de Lucas Vázquez que terminó en una ocasión clarísima para el Panda, pero Courtois tenía otros planes y sacó una pelota increíble para evitar el primer tanto del encuentro. Federico Valverde creció mucho a medida que avanzó el partido, la entrada de Dani Carvajal por Vázquez, le dió al equipo mucha más profundidad por el lado derecho, aprovechando esos pasillos internos con Rodrygo, el mismo Carvajal y Valverde por ese lado. Ceballos tuvo una ocasión clarísima pero la pelota se fue ancha trás una buena combinación por la derecha. Valverde y Dani construyeron una gran acción que partió desde campo propio pero Rodrygo no pudo concretarla entrando solo por el medio. Vinicius tuvo una clara al final frente a Claudio Bravo, pero el chileno sacó toda su casta para aguantar el 0-0 en la pizarra.
