El Manchester United es uno de esos importantes clubes de fútbol que por malas decisiones de sus directivos, en realidad dueños, han quedado relegados de cualquier lucha por ganar algún título; cambios de directores técnicos más fichajes de jugadores con un costo enorme y que no cumplen las expectativas son parte de la causa de que este club deambule en ser uno más en la mitad de tabla en la Premier League en vez de estar compitiendo en igualdad de condiciones con clubes como Chelsea, Liverpool o Manchester City y es por eso que en esta temporada se esperaba que se tomarán importantes decisiones que cambiarán el rumbo de este club y lo convertirían nuevamente en un gran estandarte del fútbol inglés; lamentablemente en tan solo dos fechas disputadas de la nueva temporada, el cambio de imagen para el bien de los Diablos Rojos no ha sido la mejor.

Después de dos jornadas en dónde solo se obtuvo humillantes derrotas, comenzó a circular noticias en dónde el Manchester United ofrecía gran cantidad de dinero a clubes por sus jugadores, por ejemplo como João Félix, delantero del Atlético de Madrid, el cual ofrecieron primeramente 80 millones de € y después hasta 130 millones de €, oferta que fue rechazada por el club madrileño, pero eso no evitó que el club inglés siguiera rondando la capital de España porque después comenzó el rumor de una propuesta al mediocampista del Real Madrid, Casemiro, sobre una mejora de contrato con tan solo ser parte del nuevo proyecto del Manchester United; está noticia me sorprendió y hasta me lo tomé como una broma porque para mí era imposible que alguien tan importante, un pilar para lo que es actualmente el Real Madrid, pueda considerar ser parte de la "reconstrucción" de un club sin importar que sea uno de los equipos más importantes de Inglaterra, pero resulta que la broma no era para nada algo que debiera hacernos reír, porque con toda la seriedad del mundo la oferta hecha por la directiva del club inglés era demasiado tentadora para que un importante jugador, pieza del actual campeón de Europa pensará mejor su futuro y aceptara ser parte de un equipo en dónde el mediocampista brasileño deba sin ninguna duda ser un líder dando toda su experiencia ganada en los últimos años.

Para muchos, en especial la prensa de Madrid te habla del gran negocio, se refieren a "70 millones de € por un jugador de 30 años" y así para mí minimizan el trabajo y lo que representa Casemiro, yo en lo personal esperaba verlo una temporada más porque el año que viene se va Modric y posiblemente Kroos, quedando solamente como alguien (en mi opinión) consagrado cómo Valverde cómo mediocampistas titular indiscutible y que eso deberá hacer que Camavinga y Tchouaméni deban evolucionar tal como lo hizo el uruguayo en una temporada y deben recordar que "Pajarito" y el mismo Casemiro para llegar a ser lo que son en el Madrid, primero debieron probarse fuera del Bernabéu y después llegar a deslumbrar y conquistar un puesto, sin prensa y sin presión por un alto traspaso y en eso si hay una verdadera prueba que debe afrontar el club Blanco en esta temporada.
