Un chaval bonaerense de 37 años, el hombre con la vocación de construir, arquitecto de profesión que nunca jugó al futbol, pero que edifica a la perfección un equipo combativo, lleno de identidad y de esfuerzo colectivo. Nicolas Ricardo Larcamón el arquitecto del banquillo que emplea su material de construcción -los jugadores- a fondo.
A young lad from Buenos Aires, 37 years old, the man with the vocation to build, an architect by profession who never played football, but who perfectly builds a combative team, full of identity and collective effort. Nicolas Ricardo Larcamón is the architect of the bench who uses his building material - the players - to the maximum.
Larcamón aterrizó en el futbol mexicano como un completo desconocido, y ha encarado el enorme reto de devolverle la identidad al Club Puebla, ha cumplido y lo ha hecho con creces; revolucionó con un perfil bajo a sus camoteros y hoy es objeto de deseo de varios clubes en la Liga MX e incluso hay quienes lo perfilan como candidato a dirigir la, bastante emproblemada, Selección Mexicana.
Larcamón landed in Mexican football as a complete stranger, and he has faced the enormous challenge of restoring the identity of Club Puebla, he has done it with flying colours; he revolutionised his Camoteros with a low profile and today he is the object of desire of several clubs in Liga MX and there are even those who profile him as a candidate to lead the, much-troubled, Mexican national team.
La Liguilla pareciera un sitio exclusivo para un selecto grupo de equipos en la Liga MX; aquellos que tienen estrellas de renombre en su plantel, entrenadores experimentados y plantillas amplias y profundas. Pero el Puebla del arquitecto, emergió del anonimato para ser un protagonista más, y ha demostrado que se puede acceder a la Liguilla sin necesidad de un gran presupuesto.
The Liguilla would seem to be an exclusive place for a select group of teams in Liga MX; those with big-name stars in their squads, experienced coaches and deep, wide-ranging squads. But the architect's Puebla emerged from the anonymity to become a leading player, and has shown that it is possible to reach the Liguilla without the need for a big budget.
En su primer torneo al frente de “La Franja”, Larcamón llevó a su equipo a la semifinal del Clausura 2021; construyó un Puebla aguerrido, complejo y rocoso que dificultaba el tramite de los partidos a cualquier rival que se le pusiera enfrente. Nicolas hace maravillas con su materia prima.
In his first season in charge of "La Franja", Larcamón took his team to the semi-final of the Clausura 2021; he built a tough, complex and rocky Puebla that made it difficult for any opponent to play against them. Nicolas does wonders with his raw material.
Al Camote de Larcamón le quitaron piezas fundamentales en los nombres de Santiago Ormeño, Omar Fernández, Maximiliano Perg y Salvador Reyes para el pasado Apertura, y aún sin tener esa columna vertebral con la que llegó a semifinales, metió al Puebla a la Liguilla por segundo torneo consecutivo; un hito sin precedentes para la entidad poblana. Larcamón se encumbró de nuevo en la historia de su equipo, más allá del limitado panorama.

Con todo y el humilde y limitado presupuesto; Larcamón y sus muchachos viajan invictos en lo que va de temporada, empataron su juego inaugural y han ganado los otros tres duelos que enfrentaron para ser líderes del torneo con 10 puntos totales con 8 goles a favor -segunda mejor ofensiva del toreneo- y tan solo 2 en contra -mejor defensiva junto con Atlas y Cruz Azul-.
Despite the humble and limited budget; Larcamón and his boys travel undefeated so far this season, they drew their opening game and have won the other three matches they faced to be leaders of the tournament with 10 total points with 8 goals scored -second best offense in the tournament- and only 2 against -best defense along with Atlas and Cruz Azul-.
Larcamón parece ser más que un simple arquitecto del futbol, un alquimista que tranforma la paja en oro, torneo tras torneo, su directiva se lo pone más difícil -por la necesidad del Puebla de vender talento para seguir subsistiendo- y Nicolás sigue superándose a sí mismo, ofreciendo una nueva y mejorada versión de lo anteriormente mostrado, siempre desde el compromiso y el trabajo colectivo como piedras angulares del futbol que practica su equipo.
Larcamón seems to be more than a simple architect of football, an alchemist who transforms straw into gold, tournament after tournament, his management makes it more difficult for him - because of Puebla's need to sell talent to continue subsisting - and Nicolás continues to surpass himself, offering a new and improved version of what he has shown previously, always from the commitment and collective work as cornerstones of the football his team plays.
