En los últimos eventos internacionales, el bateo ha sido el eslabón más débil de nuestra selección, y ya desgraciadamente perdemos con todo el mundo, ya no es solo, Japón, Estados Unidos o Países Bajos, ya ahora toda la región del Caribe y incluso países con poca tradición como Italia, nos ganan, entonces algo está saliendo mal.
Ausencias
Decir nombre y apellidos de las ausencias creo que sería una perdida total de tiempo. Por ponerles el ejemplo, Cuba tuvo participación de 54 peloteros nacidos en la Isla, fíjensen que no estoy contando los cubano-americanos, en la temporada 2025. Y de esos 54 peloteros, solo 2 están en la nómina oficial para el venidero Clásico Mundial, que son Yoan Moncada y Yariel Rodríguez. Un por ciento realmente bajo, y si lo comparamos con Puerto Rico, que es rival de Cuba en el grupo, tuvo 27 peloteros en la temporada pasada, y de esos, solo 11 estarán con el combinado boricua, se afectan los puertorriqueños, pero no al nivel de los cubanos.

Finalmente creo que este equipo, a pesar de las bajas que tiene, y la incertidumbre con el estado físico de sus peloteros. Será una fase de grupos bastante compleja, sobre todo por la calidad de los rivales, y es importante siempre comenzar ganando, esto evitaría a toda costa llegar sin complicaciones a los juegos contra Puerto Rico y Canadá, cruciales en una hipotética clasificación.
