En mi última entrega, señalaba la consagración de Pagés, y mantengo la idea, esta temporada es la que le puede dar una continuidad en la franquicia, y a base de palo como dice el buen cubano, se ha ganado el puesto. Este viernes se fue en blanco en 3 turnos, todos los días no son iguales, además en un equipo rodeado de súper estrellas no estás presionado a hacerlo bien porque otros harán el trabajo cuando tu falles. Claro siempre que aportes, mejor.
La responsabilidad es diferente con Randy Arozarena, ya que el también pinareño, es uno de los mejores en la tanda de los Marineros de Seattle. No pegó hits este viernes, pero recibió 3 bases por bolas, se robó una base, y evitó con bases llenas que los Guardianes de Cleveland anotaran con un tremendo tiro al plato. Defensivamente Randy es uno de los mejores de la Liga, que lastima que aún no tenga un guante de oro en su vitrina.
Morejón impecable
La nota más destacada entre los cubanos a pesar de la derrota de su equipo fue la del zurdo Adrián Morejón. Tras una sólida salida de Michael King, que controló a la tanda de los Tigres, el zurdo dominó a su antojo durante 2 entradas espaciando un solo hit y ponchando un bateador rival. Morejón debe tener el mismo protagonismo de la temporada pasada en donde sumó muchos holds para su equipo.
A pesar de su buena salida, su relevo Jeremiah Estrada (lo tengo en el Fantasy de la MLB) permitió las carreras que a la postre decidieron el triunfo a favor de los Tigres sobre los Padres. Tener a Morejón como una alternativa en el relevo es algo que le permitirá a los Padres tener una garantía de que llegue con ventaja el juego para que Mason Miller pueda cerrar.
Yordan aún con deudas
Finalmente no quería irme sin tocar a lo hecho por Yordan Alvarez, el tunero que estando en su mejor forma es un bateador temible en toda la MLB. Si las lesiones lo respetan puede ser un bate poderoso para que los Astros vuelvan a clasificarse para postemporada, tras ausentarse en el 2025.
