Un choque que comenzó antes del partido con la gran cantidad de venezolanos que viven en la actualidad de Perú, quienes recibieron a la Selección de Venezuela a lo grande, los acompañaron en el hotel tras su llegada, los despidieron del hotel hacia el estadio y en el Estadio Nacional de Lima la cantidad de aficionados venezolanos fue descomunal. Donde las autoridades peruanas se portaron muy mal con los venezolanos, donde la prensa peruana ofendió a las mujeres venezolanas, con todo este condimento se jugó este partidazo que terminó en un empate que para mí fue justo por como se dió el juego.

Un resultado que pudo ser en favor para Venezuela, pero no pudo concretar las ocasiones claras que tuvieron tras ver como Perú estaba liquidado físicamente que ni los cambios que hicieron con la entrada de Carrillo o Guerrero marcaron diferencia. La defensa venezolana fue una en el primer tiempo y otra en el segundo tiempo, eso le pasó en todas las líneas. Un buen resultado para Venezuela por como comenzó a darse el juego.
